I attempted to take a planet from a user with a much lower rank (9000's vs my 5000's). I hit him with 2100 Gliders. He had such defenses in place that he destroyed all my Gliders in one hit. How is it we can attack a lower power MS and destroy no shields or weapons. But one planets defenses can wipe out all gliders in one hit? WTH??? Here's the details

the reason for that all were lost is probably that the planet defense strength is at least 10 times your fleet strength...

People can put huge defenses on planets and not upgrade their motherships if they want... he probably doesn't want that planet to be stolen, so he put a huge defense on it and you lost your fleet. The reason that when you attck a lower MS and not destroy anything is that it doesn't have anything to begin with.
