Planet Sizes/Mothership Massing Capability

As it stands right now, a mothership can attack a planet up to 10x its fleet strenght and not be destroyed.

Therefore you can mass a planet that has 10 or less of your fleet strenght.

That is completely unfair! Some people might say that it costs more to increase your mothership than your planets defense, but thats a lie.

Here are a few calculations:

If you have 10 planets, all above average, and you want to put 150 bilion defense on each, it will cost you 50,000 stations on each. That is 500,000 stations, at the price of 50,000,000 per station. The total naquadah requiered to defend those planets, if they are ONLY above average (most planets worth defending are already higher sizes) is 25 TRILION!

So you would think after investing 25 TRILION naq into your planets defenses, they would be safe right?

WRONG!

To build a MS capable of stealing such a planet, you would need about 35,000 fleet, which would give you a total of around 17 Bilion. How would would that cost? Cost: 6,125,174,990,000 Naquadah

This is completely unfair. After spending days, weeks, months, possibly even years to invest 25 TRILION into defense, to have them taken away by someone who invested 25% the naq you have!

My solution? Planet sizes/Mothership massing capabilities.

This is the formula I propose

Your Planet Size /// How many times smaller the fleet can be and survive

edit (new numbers from Zeratul)
tiny /// 10
very small /// 9
small /// 8.25
below average /// 7.5
normal /// 6.75
above average /// 6
large /// 5.25
huge /// 4.5
monsterious /// 3.75
mind blowing /// 3


Therefore, if you have a tiny planet, and 30 milion defense on it, a fleet of 3 milion can mass it, however, 2.9 or lower, and it becomes destroyed.

If you have a mind blowing planet, the fleet must be no less than 3x the size of the planet or it gets destroyed destroyed.

The numbers can be rewamped, this is just a consept I am proposing.

might be better to have it something like:

I like the concept but I think Zeratul's numbers are a better set.

This is a very good idea,

why

as seen people can invest in one stat MS & go around destroying everyones MS.

If this is put in the context of planets, if planets defences are massed (Planet not taken) think of the cost to replace, considering upgrades which have been done to have big defences.

where as the fleets lose nothing, they are there for good.

the other side of this is how is it right that a account with no other stat but MS & fleets can do ths, it has always been open to abuse.

The update on nox (single attacks) has only increased the abuse of MS/fleets.

ie MS can be taken out b4 (single attacks) planets massed, even if you came on, it makes no differance.

I could fund a nothing account to have a massive MS/fleets to cause havoc in the game & with the army sizes as they are getting this is only a matter of time b4 this happens. Imagine if a number of accounts decided to do this.

Very good idea indeed and I think the numbers Zeratul has added are pretty good as they reflect quite good what's going on ingame.

Another way to achieve the same goal would be to increase the defense each facility is giving as the size gets bigger ..... so 10 facilities at tiny size would give 30 mil but at mind blowing they would give 60 mil for exemple.

I actually agree with you eros.. but! you need to consider repair costs for a fleet that big. If in that situation they did end up massing all of those planets it would probably cost that much in repairs. personally, I think a better solution to this problem would be to just make defenses slots like fleets are, with a small percentage destroyed during attacks, but this sounds good as well.
