I have been trying for weeks to sign onto the forums using my original account (compmage).

My old passwords don't work and the forum doesn't recognize my userid/email combination, so I couldn't get it to email me the password, though the account still exists since I couldn't create a new forum account with the same userid.


I then read something about passwords not being properly carried over to the new forum so I tried serveral times, using the link and just normal emailing, to get the admins to mail me a new password. Nothing ever happened.

I tried sending PM's to the admins but you can only do that if you have a forum account....that helped alot. I finally created this new (temporary) forum account.

So, could someone please send me the password to my original account (compmage).

admin will see this, but I thought the passwords weren't stored?

Passwords are stored as MD5 hashes. MD5 is a good encryption, but they can be cracked. Pooka can change the password.

Good, though I barely get enough time to play nowadays.

When this gets sorted though I'll hop over to the market and see if anyone is selling some UU...got plenty of Naq to burn....

Indeed, a new password will do just fine, as long as I can use the account again.

there is a nice function called something like "give new password" so that should help ya...

you dont need email to log into the forum...

Yes. The is what you were suggesting I use and I was just pointing out that I had already tried that.

pookie should be able to assign you a new password, if you ask him...
