Both parties are exhausted, these battles being very taxing on ones being. While the battle is now over, it is also not finished. It has will finish in 4 real hours (or 4 eons ingame time). Yes - linear time is one of the things that are left behind in the ascended planes.
This guy hit me in the early part of March of this year and completely destroyed my defense and covert so he could steal 300 million DMU. I told him at the time that I would get even one day (his response was something like "ha ha, whatever").
So anyway, my first kill on ascended after plotting for months.

Do you gain (like AP etc etc) anything by that kill or do you only get a 1 in the kill stat ?

I've managed to get four and there is no 'bonus' or anything - just an increase in the kill column (or else I have been blind).
