You get big income bonus from your commander and big UP bonus from your officer.

I might be looking to join one, if anyone is interested? 8)

Also, i think when you have a few officers under your command you need to divert some uu or naq to your officers while in a circle you dont or its a smaller amount is given. So in short better bonus and less resouces given out by you.

well, if you do it with people who are your equal, the naq your officer gets, you get back from your CO. the naq your officer gives to HIS officer (your CO), etc. everyone gets their naq back.

i see it as profitable only for ppl with 200k+ UP'.s

As it stands all UP received by an Commander is FREE. The naq is lost. So if you have 2 equals in income then no matter what the up is its a gain. of course when your dealing with 500K to 750K+ up's its a great advantage because your getting the UU with no loss of income.

it's not really that good.
having no commander gives you 10% income boost and 10% up boost. So basically if you have two people with the same up and income they both trade the 10% income boost for an extra 5% total up boost.

Doing the calculation with a person that is at a reasonable size (income 10 bil) means that you loose 48 bil naq per day by not having an income bonus.
To equal this out you'd need to get 72k more uu's this equals to a daily up of 1.45 mil.

I invite you to tell me how a 10% income boost can equal out a 5% up boost.

ok, found my mistake in the calculations since you get 15% from the total instead of 10% from raw.
Still if your total up is below 500K+ and your income without the no co bonus 10 bil then it's not worth it

it isnt that common for players to have 10 bill income...

that is only common for the really large players...

smaller players have closer to 1 bill income... and then the loss is 4.8 bill...

well it makes sense for anyone to do this but their income/up got to be in a ratio of about ~20k:1, of course a ratio of 10k:1 is even better :D

the big difference between having no commander and a UP circle is that the 10% boost you receive to your UP from being your own commander is based off of raw UP. But when you join a UP circle you get a 15% boost from your total UP. Plus since now you have increased UP from your officer you also get an additional boost of UP from the initial increase in UP's.

If you all have around the same UP and income then you gain income and UP. If you get what I mean.
