So if I sell my account for stuff on ebay can I get some clarifacation (sp?) that this thing has been bought and is being shipped to my country?
I need to know for sure so I wont be giving someone my account on his word that he bought something for me on ebay...
Need to know so I can sell my account.
Regards,
KJ

Ummmmm......... no!
Basically its the risk you take when buying something off ebay.
Even if you buy for cash and pay via paypal you can still be screwed and not receive your item, but at least then you can reclaim your money via paypal and ebay's resolution centre.......

Well, i bought quite few items off ebay and never got screwed, but yes, it may happen. especially if you want to sell your account and have someone else to buy item for you on ebay, even bigger risk.

Sell into paypal and from there buy from ebay... theres always a risk you'll get stuffed around though, from both the sgw buyer (Although harder now) and from ebay.

It's really the risk you take. Some shipping providers might let you track shipping - but there really is no way to know for sure - but meh, such is the internet.
Really not all that different from our black market, check their feedback - maybe work out a deal wherein you don't hand over the account until you receive the item etc.

Ebay and Paypal both only offer guarantees on delivery of services when tangible goods are exchanged. That is, when the seller can provide proof of delivery through shipping/tracking systems. If you sell or buy intangible goods or services through Ebay, you have almost no recourse to get your money back if you are scammed.
Some credit card companies (American Express in particular) have more extensive fraud protection programs than other types of payment services, such as Visa or Mastercard. If you have the option to pay with a credit card that has such member benefits, you should take advantage of them if you are concerned about the transaction.

Aye, the key is intangible. You'd have to inquire about what your account would fall under, assuming it is even considered.

Give him your account on delivery of the item.
But I don't understand why he doesn't send you the cash so you can buy the item yourself??? Also, even if you have a shipping number, that number could be for an empty box. The number does not ensure the item was in the box. And if anything goes wrong with the deal dont forget that if (by a miracle) Paypal gives the money back, that money will go to the person buying your account, thus giving him his money and your account!!!!

with ebay you definately have to be careful, there was a story on our local news station that a woman actually bought a picture of a mobile phone for £100 she thought it was an actual phone she was buying and she couldnt do anything about it because she didnt read the fine print where it actually said that it was the picture for sale,i myself have had no problems but there is always tomorrow
