Ascended Wars affecting SGW

Hey, this is just something i've always wondered. Does anything on my Ascended Wars account affect my SGW account? Like if I upgrade any of the stats on ascended, will I notice any change to my SGW stats? Thanks.

I dont think so, but then again i dont really play ascend wars. also this should prolly go in the newbie/FAQ section. or if the ascension section has a help section it would go there.
