-1 additional network card 10/100MBps
-1 optical drive cd-r/rw drive
-2 256MB ram DDR 400 (total of 512MB!)
-1 2.3gig HDD

...you're selling that as a Server?

What're you supposed to be able to run from it, Pacman?

I mean, if anything a server should have more processing power if only @ 2ghz and more ram.

atleast I odn't think its worth 200$. I can get a refurbished IBM with much more spec for 200$.

something tells me that ^^^ dosn't spend much time looking at the price of tech out in the real world..... to put it mildly i am takeing a 25% loss at the buy it now price its actually more but i didn't bother calculating sale loss from the disk drives, ram, and network card..... as for labor as usual i didn't add that in either.... however in order to remain compeditive and actually want to sell it i had to drop the price to where it is...

an aside...
yes the hard drive is a 3.2gig which is extreamly small by todays standards if you figure $0.25/gig we are talking about a $0.80 hard drive but on the plus side its something that i do with slave drives is to use them as long term storage and remove them from the system when a data file is done or if i don't plan to work on it for.... a month or so...

the half gig of ram the system comes with is more than enough to run winXP server edition 05 multi task apache webserver, php server app. and about 3 other programs.......... this also speaks highly for the opteron x64 procssor it may be a single core but it can kick butt with number crunching.

one last thing i should recamend looking at the mobo makers site....

this board is really a work of art..

the original purpose for the Opteron chip was for workstations and servers, until games got a hold of it and discovered that this chip isn't great at high quality graphics but it can process like crazy and its also affordable.
