Market Inflation

People seem to be trying to inflate the UU price to 700mill per K
It recently went as low as 60b per K, then slowly creeped back up until 62b per k because the low, and 65b per K the new high. Now I see a couple trying to inflate the price up to 700mill per K. I remember when ppl threatened others for inflating the price. What happened to the buyer's club? Or even simply massing people for inflation of price?
AT prices have DOUBLED, let alone the IG-Market itself sucking for purposes of 1000AT costs 22b.
UU/AT are worth the same in Naq atm. I used to try to raid for 67k uu per 1000 turns, but now 1000 turns are WORTH 67k UU.
It's NUTS

Simply sellers will sell at the highest price they can, and will only stop when the buyers say heeeelll no.
Didnt it get to 700 not long ago, then went back down again? (no creeping back up)

Yeah im with Mystake on this one lol its ridiculous....when ATs were selling for 8bil per k a while ago i thought that was too much. people are getting greedy and something has to be done about it...i say get the massers who mass people who sell for too much back

Yes, UU prices are getting rediculously, but as has been mentioned, people are willing to pay. Personally I'm willing to pay 650/660mil for 1k, but 700mil is a bit steep.
On the otherside, I wouldn't complain if prices dropped

Well it was me that was trying to move down the AT's, I got them down to 68:1 until some crazy people started to buy them at 75:1.

It can be work both ways, if you are that passionate about it then get a a group of people to sell at lower prices to bring the average down. Those who are trying to sell too high won't get any customers. But in the end the people who are really to blame are those providing the high sellers with a client. As I was once told, don't blame Tiffany for giving you a rash if you went into the canyon.

I think something should be done to stop this. Inflating the price from 620 (sometimes even as low as 600) upto 700 is just a pathetic attempt by a couple of players to push some of the less able players to build up supplies of naq out of the market which will allow them to get a greater advantage.

You can thank all the wars for the inflation. Alliances seem to need AT's in order to attack.... funny that.
Attack turns should be expensive, it should be hard to collect 1000's of them and stockpile, so that it makes waring more costly and more of an actual effort. (Unlike the ease of things "these days")
I think the cost of AT's will only ever go up. With any luck it will slow the pointless massings, and encourage people to use a bit of tact and foresight before just going out and wasting turns like loose change.

i hope prices for at's will go up to bout 85-95k ASAP.
you might think ti's crazy...but..when prices reach a point where raiding isn't profitable anymore(it's quite hard to have big profit already)..people will stop buyin at's..not all..but those who raid won't buy em anymore...sellers will see this and start thinking bout lowering the prices....first for few k then for more..i really hope players would resist and stop buying untill prices go back under 45k uu per 1k at's...it's just lame and idiotic atm.
either admin "makes" raiding way more profitable or prices are lowered or people won't raid anymore.
funny thing is that few months back u were a good raider if u were hittin 1k per 15 at's....now....if you hit 1k per 15 at's u don't have profit at all...u have losses..i mean..come on....
i say resist buyin at's and wait a bit..prices will start going down soon after ppl stop buying em.

its rather hard to make too much profit these days with ATs at their current prices... and in the long run theyll only go up...
uu however, has been sumwhat stable for a while. ATs hav trippled or so in price in the past 6-12 months while uu has stayed relatively stable.

Market prices for anything are set one of 3 ways
1. Supply and demand
2. Monopolised marketplace
3. Quality of goods and or services
seeing as though 2 and 3 are not an issue here good old supply and demand sets the price
i don't like spending AUD$1.40/L to buy diesel for my car but until i work out how to make my own i have to keep buying it.
AT's, and UU are the same. if you want cheaper AT's or UU make more available on the market, or simply don't buy them and the prices will drop to compensate for supply and demand.
people could ask for 1 bill per k for uu if they want to but seeing as quality and brand are not an issue here people will buy from whoever is cheapest. if they don't then they need to learn a few things about economics.
p.s. anyone who feels the urge to buy uu for 1 bill per k contact me please
but all this talk of massing to keep the prices down is just silly, massing uses AT's and UU to repair thus taking even more off the market and raising the prices higher.

Although I've never liked the idea that prices can be controlled I do understand it. What I can't understand is why people persistently moan about the price of AT and UU and the fact that it is too expensive or overinflated!
I seem to recall a number of people saying this would happen, many, many moons ago - but nobody seemed to care then.
It's a simple matter of supply and demand - if the demand is there, then the sellers are perfectly within their rights to sell at whatever price people are willing to pay. If people really want to bring the price down, then they should stop paying the alleged over-inflated prices.
Only the buyers can bring the prices down - asking for 'something to be done about it' is not the right way to go.
The sellers aren't greedy - why shouldn't they sell at the price someone is willing to pay? If someone offered you 10 trillion naq per 1000 AT would you argue with them to try and get less?
As much as I don't like it, I'll say it again - supply and demand.

What I suggest is:
a) admin resets market
b) admin makes raiding more profitable
c) we mass the BUYERS and write that everyone who'll buy UU/AT for more than 600 mil/k or AT for more than 50 UU/AT or 30bil/1k AT
These are the only ways to make it more profitable/to lower the prices

That kind of defeats the point.
Why should admin reset the market?
Why should admin make raiding more profitable?
If the answers are because some people do not like it the ways it is - well, sorry, but that's not good enough! Too many times, when things such as prices aren't going the way that people want have we heard the age old cry of 'Admin must do this' - but why?
If you choose to raid at the current profit margin - it is your choice.
If you choose to buy AT/UU at the current prices - it is your choice.
Nobody's hand is being forced - if people don't like it then they should do something about it through the game, the game shouldn't be altered to satisfy peoples greed - they should either live with the current 'profit' from raid or accept to pay the price for UU/AT people are asking. As stated before - the only way to bring that price down is for people not to pay.
What people don't realise is that it's all a catch 22 situation - so even if the market was reset and the raid profit margin increased we'll only find ourselves in the same situation a few months down the line! I've seen it time and time again.
