it was great, just my grandpa came over and i got a lot more stuff than i was expecting. some pretty cool-things too. a talking watch a gothic novelty tic-tack-toe set a psp and some cash. we had so much food we had to force people to take a lot of it home with them hehe. my sister couldn't afford to get me a gift so she got me a cool card and made my cake just the way i wanted it, vanila-vanila-vanila there is also a lot of that left too. the folks wanted to throw a bigger party but i told them it wasn't a big deal or anything so we told a few people not to come instead.
as far as my 21st, well i'll just say i don't drink.

I am glad to hear that your bday went well. Not drinking is good since it saves brain cells and money, but that is not the only thing about turning 21. Upon turning 21 one earns a whole cornucopia of priviledges such as being able to stay at a hotel by oneself, get a license to carry a concealed weapon (yuck), the ability to gamble where it is allowed, legal prostitution in Nevada, and the ability to drink. I am not saying you will want to do all of these, but at least you could legally. Enjoy being 20 while it lasts

sept. 5th's suck actually because our birthdays also count as back to school holidays haha. at least here in the states.
edit: actually i think thats true for much of the september bdays. except sept 4-5th's are on or after the first day of school. :S
