Game forums sure have changed in 2 years.....

I wasn't on the forums then, but from what I remember and impressions from various MSN conversations, the upcoming ascension update was the talk of town so to say. Everyone was anticipating it, and half truths and rumors along with everyones own personal opinions were going left and right.

Sept 05 another fun month
I joined this time, and ascension, now released, was still the talk of town. People bragging about thier fast ascensions. People bragging about being a Prior account, and Prophet was just the rarest thing. People kept speculating on what title comes next and in general, just having good time.

Ascension was out and Motherships were in. I personally think Motherships were the best update to ever come out. Everyone loved the idea and everyone of course wanted their own MS fast. No one complained. Except someone who apparently lost the keys to his and had a thread asking if anyone knew where they were. It was joke of course, and boy, did the community have fun with that thread. It wasn't considered spam, people in general just had fun on the forum. Nobody cared that ONLY the BIG people could afford the MS at first, and the BIG people were able to build theirs bigger. Small players just toughed it out, worked hard, and got their own eventually and were generally very happy to do so.


Ahh...those were the good times.....where did they all go?
Anyway, just thought I let you guys have a little SGW history.
As for you older players, what good times or bad, do you remember from 2 years ago?

Ahhh the grind I remember it well Sept 12th was my big day. Bothered little with ascentions however back in the good old days Daff was my CO and gave me my first 400 mil naq for some covert - which was a lot back then . To be honest when you think about it I have him to blame for the remorseless years of struggle and addiction to the game .......Only kidding Daff ( we don't talk much any more....lol)

The one thing I do remember was the honour amongst players and the great wars - something I hope still resides within SGW now that I'm back from the shadows.....

oh man, i still remember the days when covert level 9 was high... before the spy level on ultimate supporter status... >.<

asked me to say some MC rhymes
so I said this rhyme I'm about to say
the rhyme was meeca, and it went this way
wrecka lecka mecca mic check on the windmill skills
Mac distracts, wearing Godfather hats
it's okay to parlay to fortee better
tell 'em my nigga made a sweater tougher than leather
swing another Rodney King thing in our right
but just like the white one I get no respect
money stay awake, 'cause them other niggas are fake
from Hollis to the Becon, now your dumb ass is leakin'
C.L. and Run DMC so rush it
big time way before Hammer got to touch it
remember the faces in all types of places
look Ma, no shoelaces
and I'm....

Motherships were awesome. I paid the 350 mil the day it came out. They were so underpowered for the price until the 10x boost.

the most funny thing now that I hold in my memory was being an omega member asking at the poll if they think I ll be able to egt level 20 spy

i think one thing forum could do to make the game like it once was is too come out with an update, like ascensions and MS were where ppl actaully had to work hard to get it, and i hate it when every1 shoots those kinda of ideas down because they say only the big ppl will benifit from it, yes they will get it first, but they worked hard to get where they were, and they deserve to be able to get it first, all we ever do now is penalize them for being big, im sorry but i think its a little unfair to penilize them when alot of them have been playing for 2 years and ppl tht just start wanna chance to catch up, im a relitively small guy, most would consider me quite small, so im not just saying these things to try and help myself
