Removing the "buddy" system.

So mods are appointed based on friendships now?

Anyone else see this as being completely unfair and bias?

Is this going to be locked too. People will agree. Can't have that...

I suggest there be a system in place to process those who want to be mods, not just friends of mods being able to join the team without any sort reason.

where does that stuff about friendship-based appointment come from?

also, if you notice, the new general mod is not a full mod yet... still on trial...

btw, could you please stop trolling?

And by trolling you mean asking questions and liking for it to be discussed by the general forum and not just by a mod who feels like locking things so no one gets a voice?

No, not a full mod yet, but its going to be that way. We are not as stupid as you think.

Good form? I think not.

Nuto, you sucked as a Mod, so I think you should leave the current Mods alone, even if they did appoint someone for them wrong reason.

Yeah, coz I can see how the markets look so much better now...
This thread isn't about me, its about the lack of mod processing.

We will just end up with more geisha's and EtLs if its all based on the buddy system.

one other thing... that system will not be removed, simply because the version this forum runs on, is not the final version of phpBB3, so changing the code in that way wont happen...

hmm... how is it that you would know of such system, when it is not existing... for there is no such system... had there been such a system, we would have known about it...

so how come those you mentioned only make up 10.7% of the total mod team?

where does the other 89.3% fit in?

Agapooka is mentioned twice and sleipnir has always been here.

There was a mod call once and people applied to be mods, and people were chosen out of the applications.

That was a great idea, and many of the forum global mods were promoted after the head's quit or were demoted.

Why can't there be another application forum?

currently, there is no such forum, but, if the system pookie is trying out currently works, then there may be something like that...

one reason such is being tried, is that the previous system too often ended with mods that stayed a few weeks, then resigned...

I agree with Nuto one hundred percent. The application system is far more preferable to the 'jobs for the boys' mentality in place at the moment.
