I am trying to do an ascension and the system will not let me.

I had a main and ascension account that a friend gave me when I returned.
I named both Acronon and played for a while.

Later, I got a new account in main and ascension, I renamed the main account Acronon and the ascension account {Acronon} because the old ascension account I gave to a friend had no name changes left.

Today I tried to ascend and it will not let me do so because of the difference in names between main and ascension stating that Acronon was already in use on ascension.

But, since I am already ascended and have an account there this should not matter, just like the pick a race thing makes no difference once you have ascended already.

I need this fixed and yes, I have emailed support but want this taken care of as fast as possible.

Interesting problem. Sure sounds buggy to me. The link should by by ID, not by name.

Dam that sucks man, i thought the accounts would be linked via ID not name, as some people who change there name in ascended may pick a name that doesn't exsist in game yet, that someone could make later....

maybe you could change name on main to something not used on ascended?

I shouldn't have to waste my MT's for an admin bug.

true... we just posted a solution to your problem, not a way to fix the bug though...
