The cancer killing the game will be such implacable 'optimism', IMHO.
Don't want to insult or annoy anyone, but how many similar games are you playing? Could you name one (in PM if the rules don't allow you to post it) that's been, in the last few years, even close to as good as this one? Thanx.

Cancer killing the game is clueless newbs like you Tok'ra.
if you actually read the update you would see that these changes have plenty for all players, including those who CBA to play ascended.

Yes, you're right Tok'Ra...not.
part you seem to have missed i will quote for you:
4) If you wish to DESCEND YOURSELF - ie 'quit ascension' .. you can. You will become a 'Daimon' - basicly a fallen divinity...This is the only race open to fallen ascendeds who chose their own demise...The bonuses are: whatever your ascended account was giving to your main account at the time of banishing yourself, MINUS the ascended blessing (so no unique tech to this race.) (for example if you were prior, you got 5% bonus on att/def/cov/income, and the ascended blessing, and new weapon valus. You keep all but the ascended blessing.) From this race, you can choose a fully mortal race, or keep this race. No other options.
So no, no one HAS to play ascended AT ALL now.

nobody has to play ascended but if you intend to i wish you fun clicking ages on the update buttons.
120 mill lifeforce at the new rates takes a bit to spend.

4 easy steps to get uber stats
1) highlight the amount of the stat you have

Maximum Natural Energy Capacity - your 'normal' maximum energy levels, are what is determined by this ability or trait. By concentrating on just your energy maximum, you can push that limit, increasing your natural maximum. This - in effect - is the gateway to getting more powerful as an ascended being. 999
Highlight 999
2) press tab
3) Put a heavy item on the enter button, say a bottle of vit c tablets, or a zippo lighter.
4) walk away

hehe, i had 4 billion LF to spend, believe me i have no complaints about the "hassle" of clicking so many buttons

I actually kinda like the update, should be more fun/ more playable, more fair to all players, the big like 5 may be less benefited, i.e growth wise but hey admin took away the superweapon, and made it so you cant be raided, you will have lots more resources than anyone else, and will still remain virtually untouchable, with no superweapon hassle, this is the change you've been waiting for is it not.
And the smaller players get to catch up alot quicker,
This is a very nice update we will see how it works in practice.. i only wish i did a bigger last ascention.
In addittion the fools who did a quick ascention will still recieve little benefit muahhahaha

Only 1.4 here, should have made a bigger ascention, but still within 10 days my now enhanced income will near enough catch that up

I disagree. You can descend yourself only if you are already ascended, so some of those who 'don't want the hassle of playing ascended' have sacrificed something on their Main account for those weapons and bonuses on Main, especially those who ascended earlier. Then there could be people who used to play Ascended but can no longer do it because, say, they don't have any more time to play 2 games in the same time. Should they lose everything they invested in exchange for nothing, so that those playing Ascended actively can feel superior in Main?

Yes they should lose everything, you cannot have main and ascended linked for some features and not others, how is that fair for the active players, people will just use that excuse, oh i only have 4.78minutes to play each day i cannot log into 2 servers, unlucky..

Well i actually use less time to play each day.
On good days i log in twice. On bad days only once.
All i do is train miners and bank.
And as soon as i have 4-5 trill saved up spend 10 minutes to use them.
Today was a really long game day for me.
My time is spent on the forums (here+ alliance)
and thanks goodie.

But you did have to start playing Ascended from scratch, right? You probably needed more time each day until you reached your current level. And what with no in-game help or guide, it does take some time to get used to a new game if you want to be able to play it well.
