DAIMONS - Let's Tweak Them!

Since in the other thread everything is mixed this thread is for discussion about Daimons ONLY!!! Admin/Forum said he can tweak them a bit, from what I can tell main problem is we don't have a good double edge sword solution and people complain about the bonuses... Also, the Ascended Updates Page is different then Descend Page in ascended server, look below:

Okay so I compared Ascended Game Updates Page with the Descend Page... And the GREEN text is a match. BUT, there are some differences...

  • CYAN text = Same bonuses or half of them?
  • PURPLE text = Double casualties? YES or NO?


SO, I think bonuses should be "whatever your ascended account was giving to your main account at the time of banishing yourself" and not "only half of the normal bonuses or strengths associated with being allied to a truly Ascended God"

AND we need a good double edge sword Admin/Forum will like so he implements it and make Daimons interesting! :D

why would anyone chose this if there are less benefits then being ascended??

seems like you didn´t got it:

if you choose to be a daimon and leave the ascended server there´s no way you could be descended and becomign weaker, but on main you would keep your FULL BONUSES (except the ascended blessing of course).

but with the fast living and yding thing i´m ok with .. i guess..

Because they don't want to play ascension.

That's what this was meant to be.. a way out for people who don't enjoy the ascended server, and who have no interest in playing it. Not an easy 'go straight to go, get out of ascension free' card.

ahh pretty cool, but i think i will continue with the ascended server

but then you cant be an ancient god can you ?

they get to keep strike bonus
loose def bonus
+5% covert because they still have some ascended knowledge
loose income bonus
ascended blessing is halved,not removed for the same reason as covert and of course no glory unless they change back into mortal form

I'd say leave them by the ascended update, except that double casulties is too high.

They are not living fast anyway, Anubis managed to wait out thousands of years before he built up his forces again.

I agree with that. Instead why don't we have some type of Ascended curse that would take a certain % of your units after so many attacks (I.E. every 5 attacks you'd loose 10% of your miners or something)

You have descended yourself and have managed to keep the majority of your powers. However, be warned, the other ascended do not look kindly towards your actions and may step in at any time weakening your troops during battle.

Something like the power of your defense/attack has a % chance that it is halved. I'm not sure what the % chance of ascended blessing happening is but pretending that it is:

prior - 5%
prophet - 10%
Messiah - 15%
Incarnate - 20%
Living God - 25%

then the chance of the ascended step in would be:

prior - 2.5%
prophet - 5%
Messiah - 7.5%
Incarnate - 10%
Living God - 12.5%

This would hurt a lot especially when massing or being massed.

Btw, in reponse to the last post, loosing 10% of your miners per five attacks would be insane. You mass one person and you have almost no income.

Excuse me what the hell are you talking about?

Bonuses stay the same OR get halved (first option in ascended updates page and second when you go to descend page)
And what the hell ascended blessing is not halved it's GONE completely. Yes no glory, atleast you got something right. :lol:

Errm did you read what is the problem at all? Admin/Forum seems to be undecided on whether you take double casualties as Daimon or not, AND wishes to add a GOOD double edge sword suggestion... What you are suggesting is something I and many have done before:
Ascended Curse OR Plague OR Step In name it as you wish, an opposite effect to Ascended Blessing and while all good Admin/Forum said something he qould maybe consider it, your suggestion is not good unless it's a double sword effective...

MEANING we as community should decide FAST on 3 main things over Daimons:

Halved bonuses + normal casualties
OR
Full bonuses + double casualties
OR
Full bonuses + double sword effect
OR
Halved bonuses + double sword effect
and so on...


The main things to discuss are full or halved bonuses, double or normal casualties (possibly for both parties) and adding a good double sword effect (what, how to work, etc)

how could someone of the DDE family say such a thing. :lol:

If they want a quick way out now that admns made it easier to catch up fine. half bonuses for being descended yourself or 3/4 bonuses and higher casualty rate.

just the loss of Ascended Blessing is laughable. And since those that play ascended risk being descended by others and losing ALL bonuses, i reckon som sort of fixed penalty (bonus wise) should be imposed.

I have to say I think we should actually give Diamons just the loss of ascended blessing.
Those remaining in the ascended server could pay for extra levels of technology for main. That would mean that those who actually play ascended would benefit more without penalising the Daimons as much.

I will never be a Daimon I would not wish to be. However there are some who just don't like ascended. Let them leave the server never to return banishment if you like with all but the ability to give an ascended blessing intact. If those in the ascended server are descended instead of halving their bonuses they lose the ascended blessing for the time of the descension and loose the extra levels which they have paid for (permanently)

This would have the effect of making people leave who don't want to play get them off Vacation mode. Encourage those in ascension to play more to get better main technology but they risk all this extra tech if get descended

I say half bonuses ... and normal casualties ... and only a 50% chance of ascended blessing ...
