ok I have joined just today, because I am a big SG fan. Anyway I have started to play and have come to some trouble. I tried to look in the faq and help& rules, but I foudn out that some of the things are missing. OK maybee I have just read it wrong but, I still don´t know how do you gather naqudah or how do you end/start a turn?
so I would be wery grateful if anyone could answer this for me, and btw what is the point of commanders?
tnx,
Jacka

u do not start or end a turn. a trun ends every half an hour, that is when u get your naq and turn. to get more naq u need more Untrained units and these come in different names dependant on wat race you are. the point of commanders is that u get a percentage of their income and they get a percentage of your UP (unit production)

Naquadah is generated automatically every turn by your untrained units. Turns run automatically every 30 minutes.

I'm fairly new as well but from what I've learned,
Being a commander gives you more cash, and when you're a commander you can set it to automatically to give a % of your income (default is 20), to be divided among your officers. So it means more money.
It's also kind of like an alliance, many commanders don't tend to like people picking on their officers.

hey, the base of this game is UP
for every untrained unit you have (uu or ut) you get naq.... 40 naq per turn for everyone except goa'uld who get 50 naq per turn per unit....
so the first thing you want to do is start increasing your unit production or UP
another thing you want to do is find a good alliance and commander (commander with high income preferably because you get part of it for being his officer)
if you have any other questions you can msg me at
mailto:owen9292@hotmail.com for msn messenger or owen9292 on aim

Actually, commanders don't get extra naq per se. They have to give out a certain percentage of it (between 10% and 30%) but they get a share of their officers UP (half of the percentage given out as naq is returned for each officer), meaning they lose out on their turnly naq income, but get extra untrained units.

it is really just for rank reasons, [ at the min ] but soon it will help more, as people ms will grow to become far stronger and soon you will need a good ms to attack and defend, i hope that answered your question

It's not just for rank reasons - it can very much increase your attack or defensive power...
Try
here for into about motherships...

the added benefit of a mothership completely depends on how powerful your army is. at lower levels, it could theoretically double your strike or defense. However, as you progress in the game, it becomes MUCH more cost effective to just train soldiers, and buy the most cost effective weapons than to try to get the strike or defense from your mothership.
Your mothership is however key to gaining and maintaining rank, so when it comes down to it, if you are working on trying to get highly ranked in the game (not neccessarrily the only strategy) you are eventually going to have to get a mothership, but for most, you are better off just focusing on your strike, defense and covert until a mothership and it's weapons are just an afterthought.
Oh yeah, and before you worry about any of that. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WHEN YOU ARE STARTING OUT (AND PROBABLY SEVERAL MONTHS THEREAFTER) IS UP.

n also motherships r only for those who can afford it. 450m naq in main n 45m naq in q. costs a lot to arm too
