IS there any legal restrictions to using a ps3 for a business, eg. charging to play one in a cafe? i was thinking of doing this in my school to raise alittle money, by charging students to play on 2 at breaks.

yea dude i would guess that if your just charging a little bit at school then probably not.... i would put on there for the time on the PS3 and not the PS3 itself... actually if there is that is the stupidest thing i have ever heard of in all the world.

Probably illegal, but I doubt sony would care THAT much to sue you and waste 100k dollars for their lawyers.

You'd be surprised how petty Sony can be...

well not to be a cinic, but let's say a lad goes home and is talking to his parents (just talking not grassing) and he tells them about playing ps3 at school, and you dont know who those parents are, what they do for a living or who they know
that said my moto is usually its only illegal if you get caught that applies to anything except rape

for some reason the most simple of answers has been missed. If it is illegal then you should not do it, it isnt a question of being caught. It is an issue of integrity and moral standing.
If it is illegal then it would be wrong to willfully break that law and to go further it would negetively reflect upon ones character as well.
So do whats right m8 and dont engage in such behavior. There are plenty of legal ways to earn some cash, sure they require more work, but work builds character as would doing the right thing
