Vacation and G + R

I recently went into vacation mode for just over a week. I was in nox previously, and had around 1200 g and r.
I have just come back off vacation and i have now around 800 g and r. Why is this? i thought that when you go into vacation mode, your account is "frozen" not generating any turns, uu and naq. Surely that would mean not having anything taken away aswell?
