Ascended blessing

ok ive been wondering this for ages now.. and some people say this.. some people say that..
NOTE: MODS please move if topic is in wrong place.ok, could someone PLEASE clarify this for me.. what ive been wondering is..
can you spy on an ascended acc on main, and still get the next level of ascended blessing.. the next time you ascend?

Err what? Why would spying stop you from getting the next ascended blessing level when you ascend
