What is it with the best friend of your girl not liking you for no specific reason, especially when you've never done anything to earn her disliking? Because honestly, that friend can make life hell.

It is one weird situation. Alright, so the last guy that pursued this girl was just wanting her for a good time, even though he kept telling her she was "the one" and all that. She didn't want him, and he wouldn't stop, so I made him. She was a friend beforehand of mine, and I told the guy early on that I wouldn't let anyone hurt her, that should've been a hint...

Anywho, she decided I was worth a shot, but her friend doesn't trust me because, get this, she thinks I'll be the same sort of person as the other guy, and nothing I do can convince her otherwise.

Well very often, what I have found works is to be incredibly civil and polite to her friend. Kill her with kindness. If you do this and your gf's friend still treats you like a pariah, very often the gf will tell her friend to take a hike. This is, of course, assuming that the people in question are all above the age of 21 or so. Younger than that, well it's a crap shoot. :) Good luck.

Odds are, once apon a time, in a galaxy far far away you probably did something, however small and seemingly unintentional at the time, or even something they heard that you said, or did that has stuck with them and that alone is enough reasons for them.

Girls are weird... Trust me, I know this for a fact.

Or perhaps the best friend was a closet lesbian, thus the reason behind the best friend persona.
She could have had a thing for you, could of been friends with the old wanna-be boyfriend and dislikes that you ended things.
It's quite possible that through the grapevine one of your actions adversely impacted on her some way akin to the chaos effect. Butterfly flapping its wings->Storms. Problem is that while scientist will give up and assume it was the butterfly instead of running all the way back, a woman will follow that series of events right back to the source, you :D.

Or AA, she could just be a hateful human being. More then a few of them floating about in this world of ours.
Best bet is to try kindness while gathering intell. Get your Mrs to talk with her and ascertain what the problem is. Meanwhile maintain civility but not to the point of being obsequious, that'd make you look even more guilty.
And if that fails start making some sodium perchlorate and replace all the salt shakers in her house with it, watching her go brownish-orange (worry not, she'll think she got a miracle tan from Jesus) before popping off.

Happy hunting.

Let her hate you, its certainly better than her liking you/wanting in your pants, now THAT is awkward.

It could always be worse, One girl I used to go out with was friends with a girl I was also friends with, and it some how lead to me getting in a fight with a guy 5 years older than me :?

Id take your situation over that any day
