Selling weapons

I have idea, we all know that we can buy and sell units and Naq by transfering them (only on SS). Why not we can buy and sell weapons.
What do you think?

It wouldn't really work between races as each weapon has a different attack/defence strength. But its still a good idea.

Wouldn't work at all because you already spend naq to get weapons - so what would you do, sell them at a loss, because nobody is going to buy them for more than they cost in game!
Turns and UU are different because you cannot buy these in-game.

actually i think it would be cool to trade weapon across the race border. for example:
a goauld gives a tauri 50 death gliders and they show up as death glider with the same stats and everything about them but in a different column as the mini nukes so we would actually have those weapons. of course the person who recieved them wouldn't be able to build them, only repair them.

I really think that this is one of the worst ideas ever!
Surely, what is being suggested has the potential to completely wipe out the Tauri and Asgard weapons bonuses?
Everyone would want to be Goa'uld, then get themselves a couple of friendly Tauri and Asgard (the temptation to have multi-accounts would be greater) and get these Tauri and Asgard to sell them attack and defense wepaons respectively - effectively giving the Goa'uld the Tauri and Asgard bonuses on top of their own!!
but, if the suggestion is not to provide the extra weapons strength, but only the name of the weapon - then what is the point? What would it add?
Doesn't count

Well if anyone buys a weapon from the Tauir the bonuses won't count for there race.

Then what would be the point of getting them?
I have always thought that it would be a good idea to be able get the weapons that an oppponent has, but I think that this should be done through things like covert steals and such because that is how it is in the shows, but not through trades and such, especially if there is real gain in the trade.

What Acronon said - if you don't gain the wepaon's benefits - what is the point in spending naq on them!!??

(I should've posted this yesterday.)
Might they be a bit cheaper?

Hmm - well the top offensive wepaon for a Tauri costs 151,020 naq - as opposed to 167,800 for everyone else - the same for Asgard defensively.
So they aren't really that much cheaper - and wouldn't be worth it at all as any self respecting Tauri or Asgard would wish to make a profit! - besides, the idea would lead to abuse and encourage multi accounts - you might get someone who is playing as a Goa'uld, but creates Tauri and Asgard multi accounts to buy cheap weapons and then 'sells' them to the Goa'uld account.
