If your using a proxy while doing this try putting a login in incorrectly clicking login then trying again... works for me back at Scone...

I've hated this since it was released. I don't see why it's necessary.

WHAT does it secure ?

It simply prevetns us from pasting a link to go directly somewere.

If it had to do with some method of cheating, then delete this thread and PM me to STHU jason, no problem ANYTHING that makes a cheaters life harder is needed.

But quite frankly, all I see this update doing is annoying people.

It makes it a pain in the ass for people to submit third party data.

Not impossible, im 99% sure that you can alter the headers and make it think you have a referer, but im not too sure being honest.

I think, if somebody wants to cheat, they'll get caught sooner than later...

This update has hardly ever bothered me enough to complain and it helps stop cheaters so I am fine with it, leave it be, just use another window for other sites (or links)

it annoyed me at 1st, but if this old dog can change then i guess anyone can. Jason says it helps with security, so meh, that's good enough for me.

Which would take a lot of work... this simply ups the level that people have to be at to cheat.

so its either:

The high ability cheats cheating

Vs

The above and others.



Doesnt seem like that much of a difficult choice to me.

I think it was also to stop people using proxy sites, or atleast to make it harder, proxy sites store all the data you put into any website, encrypted or not it goes through their server they can read it. If it gets used maliciously or, somoene else gets into the server and gets hold of the data (your email, username and password). More people will complain saying "they got hacked and want their account reset to how it was before" which means more work for jason anyway.

anyway like i said i "think" thats another reason... it was somewhere in this forum...

I think it's good , besides it was also ment to get a hold against auto-bankers etc etc ... Besides it doesn't bother me logging in every hour.

Theirs only 1 error I hate thats while raiding when I return to the rankings I get a error for the rest it's all not needed to change things to ur hand.

oh Tok'ra, stop moaning...there is more then enough around the forum already. This is something that everyone has been fine to put up with, and your making irrelevant waves for something that isnt going to be changed because it is part of the sites security.

Why would admin put something into the game that would purposefully annoy his customers unless it had a real use.

well, to be honest the collective greif we all give him would probably merit him doing that, lol, but i really don't think he's doing it for any other reason than to increase security
