But really, quite polite... according to the
StargateWiki (and what I remember from SG-1 episodes):
tek'ma'te: A greeting: "Master, well met." It is a greeting of respect; Also has been seen referencing someone respected in the third person (ex: It is Tek ma te Bra'tac).
tek'ma'tek: A greeting: "Friends, well met." It is a greeting to equals or friends.
