Enough is enough.

We're already losing moderators by the dozen at this point. I'm asking those who quit to reconsider. You still have your accounts, do you not? Keep using them.


To the community, buck, stop trying to create your own corners of the internet. I could've done it too but you don't see me. Instead, when there is change and a group of people willing to help gets instated, everyone drops arms and runs. Way to go. You didn't like how it was before, neither did I. When I'm placed in a position to make change, everyone starts dropping out.

It's great that 99% of people don't approve of FreeSpirit, but hey, I'm not adminJason and the best I can do is tell him of how I feel, and how the community feels. From there I can only press him to do what I think the community feels is the right thing.

Instead of doing that, Moderators are quitting. No chances are being given. I mean, a position, MINE, was created PURPOSELY to help YOU with YOUR issues.

Now, with that said; if you all want to know how I personally feel about FreeSpirit, then here it is. He's dug himself a hole so deep he can't dig himself out of it. Promoting FS to Head Admin is like forgiving because the weed made him do it (weed doesn't do that to you btw, maybe LSD but not weed). A personal feeling is; what anyone else would get banned for, he got promoted.

But this is what we've been given. We'll either work on this as a community, which is my intention, or you can drop like flies. I'm throwing the ball in your court now. Come November 1st a secondary forum within here will be created to direct your concerns to me. Use it.

In the mean time I will continue to address my concerns to the appropriate parties as I feel fit. Feel free to PM me with anything. I know I'm only starting officially on the 1st, but then I'm taking a head start. My FS concerns will continue to be addressed to the right people. I'm going to be sending off an e-mail to someone soon.

In the mean time, give each other a break and stop quitting the mod team. To the community stop trying to better yourselves then the mods, their trying to bridge the gap between Community and Mods. Whether you know it or not, behind the scenes are exactly that, behind the scenes. I would be one to expect the community to get further involved though. In the mean time, don't go around trying to make this harder then it already is for most of us (if you can believe that to be true).

As for Tok'ra, the rumour floating around is if he gets banned from the Forums, he'll get banned from the Game too.
On a second request, can this be made a sticky to make sure people see it? I don't want this burried. But I'll understand if it can't be made one.

If you want to take all the credit for it, be my guest.
Otherwise, realize and admit that you aren't the sole creator of Ombudsman. Yeah, you got the name of it, but if you think you were the only one who thought of it, then you sir, are naive.

I already said my peice on the Mod forum, i won't work with FS on the team and i am not prepared to work for the good of the forum when people who are perma-banned just make a new account and appear straight back on the forum, or even worse, get banned by Forum, speak to him on MSN, then re-appear 5 days later. It undermines the credibility of the staff to such a degree that modding is a waste of my time.

If you can somehow get a mod team that are 100% fair, get treated just like the rest of the posters when they mess up and have a adult discussion about the rules so they can be clarified, including what is worthy of a ban, what is worthy of a warning and that there is a no coming back rule once perma-banned, then i will return to the team a happy man.

Also would help a lot if Jason came out and stated that there will NEVER, EVER be ANY bonus for being a Mod in game, because tbh that 4th MT Bs stank so badly and cost a good 10 mods, if not more, in 1 foul swoop.

It's the principle though, when you have dirty mods you can't expect the posters to behave, i mean why should they when the mods don't?

I don't particularly mind giving you yet another chance either, but before that happens all the stuff i mentioned needs to be sorted out, rules need to be set in stone and enforced fairly and openly, no more sweeping under the carpet, no more talk of rewards for mods, any percieved Bias can be dealt with my Mystake if he thinks it's happening, but none of this can happen until the staff are accountable for their actions.

We are supposed to be helping the community, but that has not been happening for a while now, the impression is some mods are above the law, my opinion is staff should be dealt with more harshly than posters because they are in a position of trust, any perception that the trust is being abused and obviously the forum explodes into hate.

Borek I agree that staff should be punished more harshly.

As for Tok'ra, I asked adminJason himself to post an announcement stating that Tok'ra is on his last leg> if Tok'ra scores himself another permanent ban (a reasonable one at that) then he also gets ingame ban giving him motivation to stand within the rules.

I'll consider posting a PM I sent to Forum about what I felt needed to be changed. it's a fairly long one and it dates back to october 3rd.

Now that is just low, blaming something that can't even defend itself, lol.

Weed has never made me act irrationally, it's just when I am out that I tend to get grumpy, lmao.

It's a pleasure to see you taking an active role Mystake and you seem genuinely passionate about your job. Let's hope your position ends up being more then a public face to blow wind up our kilts (Or skirts for you lasses).

As for FS, he screwed up, big time regardless of whether I got a laugh out of it or not, and putting him in a position of authority seems a little suspect but that's the current course so why not ride it though and see how bumpy it gets. If it goes downhill then he's removed and damages will be fixed. The beauty of words is that as long as at least one person remembers them they are eternal.
FS you have you chance to prove your worth, time to aim that shovel above horizontal.

As for Tok'ra, he's being constructive so let sleeping dogs lay. I'm glad you had input on the current bureaucracy Tok'ra and it was your weeding (No pun intended) skills that brought most of the indiscretions from the previous forum debacle into the light.
However I'm curious as to how long the scorpion can last atop the frog.

I have this habbit of comeing accross threads which involve me in some way since i decided to stopn posting, but hell i figured mystake deserves a post seeing as he seems to have directed a large majority of something (i couldnt tell you what) onto me...

First of all, I was a mod for 2 years, I was also a stand out member of the community (yes i dont mind bragging about that fact either) I was also the person quite a few of the other mods AND admins and alot of the general public came to, when they had problems, This does not go to mean that i wanted to create a corner for myself on the internet, this means i had my uses, Simply because you are attempting to be useful now, do not bring about spreading my name through mud, Because it will not do, Now i know you think ive left but really, i do still read the forums and i simply cant let that go.

Secondly, about this "corner" which i am trying to create, if i wished to create my own corner i would have done quite easily with the aid of a free forum based forum, which i could dominate of my own free will and generally be a swine to anyone i liked, But i can assure if i was trying to take over i would not have left.

I gave alot of my heart and soul into the forum and you will NOT in any way shape or form try to make me look a bad man nor undo any of the good work i did, Well Actually, you can, When you pry this keyboard from my cold dead hands.

I modded for 2 years, i ran the show for 3 or 4 months when everyone else had fallen to greater evils or where busy or whatever the hell they where doing, i was the constant and ive finally had enough, If you want to hold it against me for leaveing after all this time then you need your head looked at, and if i ever considered returning, i too would need mine examined.
