Simple but effective addition - memo instead of planet names

Ok, we all know how people make "comments" out of their planet names...
Why not add a small memo field to the database for each user so that they can say a few words about themselves out in the open instead of having to try to get the message across by fiddling with their planet names??
Not a very major operation, is it? There seems to be enough room on the bottom right (below the planets) on the users' stats page to fit in a small box...
Come to think of it, it would also help users with no planets get their message across...

I don't know what you mean by "like the one mods used to have" I guess I'm too much of a n00b to have seen that but yeah - a small box below that planet summary when you click to see a users' stats, where the user can edit what he wants to say instead of fiddling with his planet names...
If that's what the mods used to have, then that's the idea exactly...

What about people with no planets? What about people with planets on the msdpd? What about that the planets don't stay in order when you grow them, so you've got to change all the damn names, again...
Not saying getting your message across in the planet names is hard. Am saying getting it across in a small box on the stat page would be considerably easier (not to mention more effective for ppl without planets or on msdpd).

Game admins could make a few bucks putting this addition in and making it US$5 to activate.
Include in the memo section an online status bar and I would buy 3!

Bump since nobody so far seems to think it's a bad idea.
Roll it in with online status, sure, why not? (As long as online status wasn't visible to all).
Charge $5 for it, sure why not (as long as it was also available ingame on the market, not everybody wants to spend cash $'s). Having said that it would probably be much harder to implement that a simple extra field in the database, so I'd hope it would just be considered a minor cosmetic improvement and be globally applied to all, since it could be coded in half an hour.
Speak up folks, change can only happen if enough people support it...

then they'd be no point in it lol, bad idea to show for all, and who you gonna show it too? yourself? i think most people here have an IQ greater than 1 to know when they are online l,ol
since it could be coded in half an hour.
yeap if you took a break, showered and shaved it could equate to half an hours work

L.OL! Doh... Of course show it to co's, officers, fellow alliance members... Just don't make it easier for "all" to see you've been inactive for a few hours, that could be taken serious advantage of.

True...
Make it 31 minutes, to port over the code that already does that for planet names.
(Actually does it?? Perhaps not, now that I think about it. Aren't planet names "monitored" by admins?)
So maybe false...
Just give admins whatever same ability they have to slap people with abusive planet names.
