GnR Changed?

I am ranked 1329, Which I beleive is well into the top 2% of players.

I have not received any GnR points since entering the top 2% almost 24 hours ago.

I do not have nox, or any realm alert level on, and havent for over 2 weeks.

Have the requirements changed to receive GnR?

Serious?

Anyone have a link to the thread as to why this was changed? I am sure there would be a reason behind it, of which I currently cannot fathom.

Stealth updates are the best. Because the admin can put forward a seemingly ideal update that completley contradicts the documentation they have already released.

I wish everything was done without reason and explanation, it makes it so convenient and easy to understand your surroundings.

/sarcasm off

So would I be safe to assume it is top 1.5% now and all the information on the site that states top 2% is wrong? If this is the case, can some moderators get in and change the posts that are scattered throughout the ascension information threads?

There's your issue, 1329 is not in the top 2% of active players. As I said several times before, as far as I know, accounts on vacation mode, while not ranked, also count to the total number of players in the game.
Another 100-150 ranks should bring you in G&R range ;)

This is how i worked out 2%.

I go to the last page that has people showing up on it (which at the moment is page 2346) I take the last ranked player (70289) and use that as a basis for working out my 2%. Wouldn't this method exclude those that are not active, on vacation and what not? As they are the players that make up the "invisible" 9,000 other accounts or so?

Using this number, I reach the number of 1405 as the threshold for the top 2%... could someone illuminate why this would be wrong?

just aim at rank 1,100.

Also i doubt this is the right place for these questions, try the newbie faq, questions for these stuff.

I am not sure of the formula, I just know that as soon as you hit 1225-1250 for a rank, you start getting 1 G&R point per turn.

you're logic is flawed, no wonder you aint getting G+R

79,088 players total
14,634 unranked
-------
64,545*0.02 = 1290

How is my logic flawed? Perhaps you should investigate the definition of the word logic. Perhaps you meant my ability to gather information is flawed.

the logic in which I used to derive the 2% is flawless. I however, did not know where to find the number of unranked players. Perhaps it would be nicer if you were to explain this to some people, rather than insult them.

Thank you for the information, but you can keep your attitude about it.

**EDIT:
Perhaps this could be amended to the newbie section about ascension? I believe this would no doubt be valuable to future players.

To be honest it seems fairly straightforward to me that if you want GnR and are not getting any at your current rank, you make a point of increasing said rank until you start earning it, lol.

I was doing that, and I have not stopped doing that.

I was just curious to know if the 2% had been changed, or more so how exactly the 2% was calculated, because obviously I was not working it out correctly.

Should I not be ask questions when I cannot derive an answer from my own methods? The only way I will learn at my age is to ask questions, and I am not about to stop.

Of course, i was just puzzled that you would spend 24 hrs expecting GnR without increasing your rank until you started getting it, as that's what you're initial post indicated to me.

Would have expected something like:

I wasn't getting Glory at 1329 rank which as far as i can work outl is within 2%, but when i increased rank to 1280 i started getting it which is more like 1.9%, what gives?
