1 AT Defense Losses

Admin please fix the defender's losses when people are doing the 1AT attacks on them to be proportional to the 15AT.
for example:
2:24 XXXX 0 Naquadah stolen 1 756 2,957 xxx,325,760,455 xxx,097,690,000 details
12:18 XXXX 3,937,497,120 Naquadah stolen 15 15,217 3,086 xxx,944,191,492 xxx,123,700,000 details
first hit is a 15AT use and they lose 15K, and I lose 3K. The second hit is a 1AT use and they lose 756 and I still lose 3K.

Blowing through the extended shield defenses, it also destroyed 1045 Energy Volley, and totally destroyed 0 fleets!
XXXX's HAPPENS adds 22,954,900,000 additional attack onto their ground troops!
Spaceball 1 uses its Energy Volley to inflict 41,591,000,000 damage, destroying 875 Energy Shields on **Filtered** HAPPENS!

1 Attack Turn Hit:
HAPPENS uses its Pod Volley to inflict 100,097,000,000 damage, destroying 383 Energy Shields on Spaceball 1!
Blowing through the extended shield defenses, it also destroyed 992 Energy Volley, and totally destroyed 0 fleets!
XXXX's HAPPENS adds 26,218,490,000 additional attack onto their ground troops!
Spaceball 1 uses its Energy Volley to inflict 39,511,450,000 damage, destroying 49 Energy Shields on HAPPENS!
He goes from losing 875 shields to 49 and my losses remain the same!

I brought this up around 6-8 months ago, and the response that I got was somewhere along the lines of 'because the fight is more of a quick raid rather than an actual battle, and the attacker is ready while the defender is not, he is able to inflict many losses on the opposing ship while taking few before running from the field(hitting hyperspace, whatever).'
Might want to take it up in the admin chat tomorrow though, there is always a chance he has changed his mind. I agree, it should be changed.

depends where you are viewing it from. The attacker or the defender.

That IS odd... and admin's explanation about it being a "quick hit" and the attacker doing more damage makes sense although the opposite seems to have been implemented?!
A quick 1 hit "guerrilla style" attack SHOULD do more damage than 1/15th of a 15 turn attack - because on a 1 hit attack your guys are in and out before the defender knows what's hit him, whereby on a 15 turn attack the defender get a chance to "react" and fight back more effectively.
In fact I thought this was the case. Isn't it a valid war tactic to do more damage to somebody's defenses with 15 x 1AT hits than you do with 1 x 15AT hits? I used that tactic massing somebody once and it seemed to be more effective than hitting him with 15at's at a time - although I admit I didn't analyze the figures too much.

ow btw.. when i do a 1 at hit... its usualy ms massing only recently got aware of some sorta "bounus" to it

The way I see it is:
The thing is here for a long long time and so its a feature of this game...moreover I see logic in it...
Whats easier...to do 15 ats attacks to destroy MSs or 1 at attacks...obviously the first one...also when ppl do 1 at attacks SGW knows its a MS attack unlike the 15ats one...so basically
The thing is in my view fair and also a characharistic of this game...far far from bug abuse imo

Agreed... it seems this is the way it should be...
But if I read the first post right, he's not complaining about that. He's complaining that it's working when people attack him with 1AT's, but when HE attacks with 1AT's he's not getting the same "advantage" normally gained by that style of attack...
Or maybe I read it wrong... it's 4am here I think I'll go back to sleep and let somebody without blurred vision step in...

Do mr X and mr Y have the same losses no matter what type of strike structure they have...

Its been like that for a long time, I look at it as if you are in a hurry to take someone down use the 15 turns at a time but it will cost you more because you are in a hurry.. the 1 AT is much better if you have the time and patience so you lose less. Its a good trade off in my opinion.

I Was also curious when i killed your unarmed supers and mercs at the start of the war.
i hit you with a couple of 15 ATs, you were losing about 150k each hit.
Then i started with 1 AT and you were losing just as much..
