Ingame vs Out of Game

This has been an iffy subject for a whole lot of people I have noticed as of late so I wanted to get it cleared up. Who here actually plays with their real life personas and who here created a whole new character?
I personally admit, the Goa'uld Dyneasty is almost nothing as I am in real life. He picks fights because he can, he antagonizes because he can. While in real life, I argue, I don't pick fights. In game, I focus on myself. In real life, it is always about helping those around me. I am barely like who I am in game if you were to meet me in real life (and some of you have).
Also, here is another thing. Does who you are in game, reflect what you are like in real life? It is basically reversing my previous question. This caught my mind as Semper had blatently stated: our forum characters reflect who we are in real life. I am curious to whom also follows this theory.
Disclaimer: Knowing my luck, I am posting this in the wrong section...but this is the first place that came to mind when creating the idea of this thread.

For me I am probably pretty close to my real life persona, I dont really have an "online persona" but I do know alot of ppl that their ingame character is completely different to their real life character.

lol..im an honest guy. You can tell when im role-playing when I go off an one pretending im a god..
But yes, in r/l I am an uncaring, cockey, big mouthed, opinion speaking/governed, machiavellian, patriotic, stuck up swine. Who CAN be nice from time to time.
I find the only difference is, on here im far more friendly then I am in r/l. Of course though im also completely different to my close friends and family as I am on here and to most other people. So yeah..im a complicated old cookie, and im only 18..cant wait to see what im like when I hit 30.
You find that not matter what you do, and how much you do it..your internet persona and your r/l one will never be completely different, one will ALWAYS be part of the other, nothing you can do about it.

Well my ingame persona is a mix actually, little me, and big roleplay.
If anyone knew me RL would tell its only a small part of me who is in my roleplay persona rest is well what i wanted my char to be.
But yes i have thought about stopping the role play and just be who i am IRL but then wheres the fun in that??
Here i can be who i want, do what i want and the only thing that gets hurt is my account. And people should be able to tell my persona from each other unless we hit one of the areas where the real me is mixed into my char then people sometimes arent sure no wonder lol.

Part is roleplaying, part is my real self. Even writers put something from themselves into characters they write about in their books... which is also my case on StarGateWars.

I believe you should be able to do that in r/l thats why I am like that..I dont conform to society, I despise what is popular, loathe fashion, am disgusted by the new 'hot body culture' because people are insecure about themselves and wont admit it. I could go on and on and on, but I make it as clear here as I do in r/l. The funny thing is, people respect me for it, they respect me for not being another sheep in the herd.

IRL you can do much of that but you should also look after the people whom you can treat like that or need help.
Because not many would they are to selfish to do it. And your right i dont give a rats what other people think or mean about me they have their oppinoin i have mine if they dont like it **Filtered** off.

I mix,
I'm way more cocky arrogant and annoying ingame then I am in RL, alot of ppl tell me I'm very easy going, but ingame im very agressive (ok I'm agressive on the roads in RL too)

Most the same as RL. Calculating, methodical, patient, slow to anger, vicious wit, sarcastic, brilliant, and exceptionally good looking.

Kinda mixed. I'm cocky in RL, picked a few fights, but I know when I am in over my head or when I should stop until I get a bud or two. In the game I do what I want pretty much. I may get in over my head but I keep on swingin. As long as I annoy the hell out of them and make them get mad at their loses I've done my goal. I argue just as much as I do on here with people in RL.

I am what I am, I am my own special creation
So come take a look, give me the hook or the ovation
It's my world that I want to have a little pride in
My world and it's not a place I have to hide in
Life's not worth a damn 'til you can say, hey world
I am what I am
I am what I am, I don't want praise I don't want pity
I bang my own drum, some think it's noise I think it's pretty
And so what if I love each feather and each spangle
Why not try to see things from a different angle
Your life is a sham 'til you can shout out loud
I am what I am
