the newer players do this in order to gain rank. The average defence size is increasing at an astounding rate. I noticed this when I first came back last month that what was once a good enough defence to get me by throughout most of the day barely holds for 6 turns now of course I dont have my defence even at 50bil yet oops *is slacking*

its just a pain I mean I make 900mil per turn and my defence cant hold it of course im lazy so I am slowly increasing it instead of raiding and doing my account justice lol

Well more and more newbies are being told if they dont want to be farmed, build a bigger def. This solves 2 problems, it turns farmers away most of the time, and it lessens you income which also helps keep farmers at bay.

If they dont have internet while at work/school or actually sleep for 8 hrs,,,,, I think its a good play for them.

I like the Dragoon sig mate. 8) Ever play the game?

it was a good game didn't much care for Albert when Lance? died but overall it was a good game interesting concept and I agree Lore it is a great idea I also think that forcing a newbie to build a 160bil defence to get his first ascension is a bit ridiculous but that is the way the game is going now so its not really going to matter lol

Some people play these games differently than others. Many do not log on multiple times a day, or even on a daily basis. Some only log in once every 2-3 days. Sure, such players won't ever become a megapower(most likely), but I don't really think they care that much. They probably just play casually.

my mate is tauri he has umm 3.3mil(of a total of 5mil) of his army in defence 150bil ish and he gets farmed for like 8bil (income only 450mil per turn and thats all income planets lol) and he loses 120k an attack and these are people with 300bil strikes he was thinking about doubling his defence to keep them out. But since im a nice guy il help him ascend lol

well, I think having a big def is not a problem.

Especiallly for asgards who are peaceful creatures who would seek peace rather than war.

Well also keep in mind (Yes I have done this before) Some people help smaller players get started. I have alway told newbies to max their tech's and build a big def right off the bat, along with a decent covert. Then grow their up and income natrally as the farm and grow. Gives them a boost to begin with and keep the farmers at bay till they get alittle size on them.

But 80% in def is totally crazy.

Well to be honest, right now the way admin has shifted the game, 0 miners and living 100% on farming is a very good strategy. Escpecially before the suicide lifer update. To me a perfet attack team would have no miners at all and live solely on farming and a good CO. Think about it. At war they could turtleshell and with no income the enemy is powerless.
