well, most mods do not have the ability to check ips, only global mods and forum admins do, for what i know

and on a 2nd note, and speaking has a player now, that ability was taken out from normal mods, cause in the past many ppl used to use it the way u just described, i wasnt a mod back then, but i know who was the one that used it more ;) a great friend of urs rek by the way ;) but when it was used in advantage of certain alliances, i didnt see u or most ppl complaining, but now when in the other side u are, funny

ps. i do not know if it was u or not, or on which forum your talking about, just speculating, but still find it funny

I dont find it funny....

and I dont care who used it before friend or foe

and the fact you find it funny is even more disturbing.. as a player or a mod...

but what should I expect from you as a player and MOD seems like you answered that already sunshine ;)

yeah, i find it funny, cause back then, a mod, or forum admin, used his powers in the forum, to enter my alliance forum and spy, and used it on other alliance forums aswell, and the only ppl complaining where me and only a few others, many ppl that knew about it, did nothing, cause they were getting the info ;)

im not saying i find it funny someone is using his powers to do this, what i do find funny is you complaining, thats it, im against ppl using this forum powers to do such things, being friend or foe too :P and no, i dont know who are u talking about, like i said b4 ;)

So that the mods are 100% clear on what you are talking about, and not guessing/speculating/etc., can you give more details about what you are talking about. Specifically, the "just done" part.

If this same type of thing happened years ago, there has been more than one occurrence, and if it has happened more than once this event, the one you are speaking specifically to, needs to narrowed down out of the possible many times this has happened (many times meaning as reported in this thread).

:-k I don't know about any mod who checked an IP of someone here in the last hour and then cross referenced the account on their own forum... meaning that is news to me, but if it happened in the last hour that is understandable I guess...

Are you certain this happened? How do you know a mod checked it here and then cross- ref.'ed it on a personal website? Could it have happened from another site is what I'm asking.

Keep in mind IP checks are done for bots to block the addy, among other things.

positive

the mod replayed at first not kknow who was on their forum then returned a bit after and knew who the person was either extrmeme goodluck (and hopefuly thell give me the lottory numbers too ) or an ip trace...

thyy got the IP from there forum and then ran that IP on the sgw forums, I am in no doubt

What does "replayed at first" mean? :?
I think of watching a movie, then replayed it...

I didn't/don't think it was/is possible to reverse check an IP number here for a supermod (have IP then find out who person is)... or at least I haven't seen that possible.

I'll ask about it.

from the information that has surfaced now, it has been proven that there never was used the IP tools on this forum... therefore, there never was any abuse of powers here... what mods on this forum do on their own, private forums, is entirely their own business...
