MS availability

I sent my MS out looking for planets, it was due back at 14:10 gametime. When it comes back I go to try to take a planet that I'd purchased but theres no "Conquer Planet" option. Why is that? The MS is no longer out looking for planets. I'm guessing that I'll be able to take the planet after the next turn-but if that's the case it should be noted that your MS is NOT fully back until 1 turn after it returns. Or just fix this so it doesn't have to wait for the turn.

Name: Prodigy ~cyberblade~[ The Great Races ]
Prior of the TOLAH
That is you, correct? If so then you can't take anymore planets because you already have 10

He had plenty of time to take a tenth planet since posting

Anyway, this is, I think, pretty much common knowledge and I'm sure there's a good reason for it.

I do currently have 10 planets-I took the one I had bought after the turn reset-20 minutes after my MS had returned.
Why does it take the turn reset to give you your MS back? If its going to be this way it should say your MS will be back the turn after 14:10. Either way it should be fixed.

It may be common knowledge for some people. If it's going to be this way the wording on the "MS is out" message should change. If not it would be nice to have the MS when it comes back.

No argument there, it could somehow be rephrased so as to make things clear for everyone. And I'm just guessing here, but I'd say there's probably a good reason for having to wait until the turn changes.

It's probably just a flag in the database that tells it the ms is out, one of the flags that doesn't get toggled until the turn change.
It would be interesting to know if you can still use your MS in the first (up to) half hour after you send it out too, because the database doesn't know it's gone until the turn change.

Maybe you can, never tried tbh.
But anyway I can't believe this +/- half an hour is a problem for some people... Very easy to fix - when they're calculating it's return time all the have to do is round it up to the nearest turn change. So if you send out your ms at 1 minute past a turn change it takes 24 hours and 29 minutes to come back. No big deal is it?

It's not a huge deal-if you know about it. But nowhere is this info posted. I had calculated that my MS would be back at the same time someone's PPT expired so I could take their planet and they could go to perg, they'd only be vulnerable for a minute or two (they were at war). Anyways, we did the deal-but a while later because of this. If it's not going to be changed how about changing the note to read:
"your MS is expected back at XXXX, and will be available to you the following turn after completing routing maintenance". That would be easy for the admin to fix. Although I'd still rather have my MS back at the time it says...

There was a bug fuss about it when ships first came out, so it isn't like forum doesn't know about it, but he is highely unlikely to change it. The game doesn't 'update' except on the turns, so it makes a few things buggy. If you havn't noticed already if you have a ppt end mid-turn then you begin to get negative minutes until the turn flips and your ppt ends. Same concept. If forum is bugged about it at an admin chat he might change the message, or he might not.
