MPDSD/Beacon question

Ok, So I'm not a noob-but I don't know where else to post this.

If someone has a planet and puts it on MPDSD and then I activate a beacon-will I still be able to find it or is it truly hidden?

best way to find out is trying ;) :P
but...
yes, if you don't have this planet and use bacon instaled on it you will see planet location(if someone has it), I'm not sure what if planet is in space :/

It will find it even if it's in space. Threw away a planet yesterday doing a reshuffle, then used up all it's beacons (not much interested to know who picked it up).

Darn it... Just tried it on one of my planets...

You determine the following from the use of your beacon:
The planet is currently owned by ~cyberblade~.
The planet is currently named XXXXX.
Lastly, the planet is currently in a hidden dimension.
That is all that you could determine. This beacon is now deactivated on the planet, being totally spent.

Why can't they make MPDSD hide the planet for real?

MPDSD protect planet from stealing, it's like ppt only for plants.
I find it as a fair solution.

Yeah, it works as planet protection... It would be logical for it to hide the planet though-I mean if the planet has been shifted to another dimension how does the beacon still work?

It might be worth making a suggestion to change it, yeah. Perhaps another message along the lines of "You are unable to contact the beacon, likely the signal is being masked" and *doesn't* use up the beacon. That would at least tell you the planet's on msdpd.

Then you'd just have to keep trying until it came off although you might have to wait weeks...
