Planet defenses

With MS stats going up because of not losing them when ascending, how much def would generally be needed for a 25bil huge income planet to keep it reasonably safe? (other stats are around 20mil army and protected by a 60mil+ player)

I'm thinking somewhere in the order of 30k facilities?

hmm well that depends on how lucky/unlucky you get but i'd say around 30-45 bil

it depends on your game play style. The more aggressive you are the high defense is needed.

You'll be able to dust off most pesky players with 100-150 billion. That won't keep it "safe", per se, but put fleet massing requirements into the 20-25K range.

There aren't a large percentage of the players that have 20K+ fleets but those that have more than that sometimes have a LOT more. "Safe" is probably more like 400-500 billion, although that number is a moving target. Most planets aren't worth defending to that level anyway. Maybe a triple UP planet? Hmmmm...

The best defense you can have is a good account, CO, and alliance...

I have only 20k def on my planets (60bil) but I have 50k fleets-so if anyone messes with them.... :D I also have JediMasterX as my CO-he has the number 1 strike in the game-and will help me in massing planet thieves. My strike is lower-only 400 bil-but enough to do some damage-and I can double it instantly if I wanted to...

If you are going to rely ONLY on planet defense facilities, I would think that you'd need about 200k-300k planet def facilities... I think you're much better off to focus on creating a good account, a good alliance, and finding a good CO. Those will also help you with more than just planets.

Also-avoid pissing off big players. Sometimes I see people with naq out-and I don't hit them. Not because I couldn't-but there are certain people who I don't want to have any reason to spy on me, or remember me from their attack logs ;) I'm not afraid of most players-I hit LG's all the time, and people with up to and even over my army size (this is a war game ;) ) but some people are those you want to keep on your good side...
