Does anyone know if SGW has been recognized by scifi or any branch of the Stargate empire? I would be interested in maybe getting noticed by them, it would be kinda cool. I can see it now, after every episode... "Remember to log on to http://www.stargatewars.com and rid the universe of evil! And remember current players, STAY ACTIVE!"... Lol, I wish.

Unless I'm mistaken, there was some... recognition all right. I think that's why SGW used to be called TGW (The Gate Wars)

lmao....and why all the race names got changed to non-sgw ones for while....anyone remember what they got changed to?

Yeah, its probably for the best if mgm or whoever owns it, don't pay particular attention.

I can remember the 'recognition' and the name changing to TGW - but can't quite recall the race name changes - but it was a long time ago now, and I'm not as young as I used to be!

Even if they were to recognize this in the good way they would expect Forum to sent them part of the profit lol.

Are MGM not working on their own MMORPG anyway? Wouldn't suprise me if forum had to change alot of the names when tht comes out.

Not that I would mind as I think he deserves it, but I reckon Forum would be making a small profit. And good on him. He does a great job.

I agree, and think it's a disgrace. I wouldn't be surprised at all if players were making thousands per month. Something in which they shouldn't get away with.

If I was Forum you can be guaranteed I wouldn't allow it to happen.

dont remember the other 3

I seem to remember the race name changes happening at the same time as the TGW name change.....something about not being able to use their names - later it was only not allowed to use copyrighted images....I think....

They were something along the lines of snakeheads, bugs, and humans - can't remember what he changed the asgards too.....
