I believe like the alliance that Commanders should have a column on how long each user has been their officer.
Anyone else think that this should be a minor update?
or think that its either a bad suggestion or a waste of time?

That could be useful...would enable commander to give rewards for loyalty at certain time markers.

cant see harm here... this would also help when not truly paying attention and having forgotten to uncheck the accept new officers box... since then one could know when that strange new officer joined...

of course there is the issue of ascending cause officers and commanders to split
oh well you cant have everything
