Who is your favourite star trek captain?

Do debate, argue, bite, chew, throw fireballs, and order orbital bombardments, but please dont swear.

We never see riker in action as a captain.

James Kirk was again, supurb and i would click his name but i didnt grow up on TOS i grew up on TNG so...Go with your childhood

Kirk for me. He was captain when I watched it growing up... although I was semi-grown up when I started watching it.

Picard was excellent too, but Kirk has the nostalgic feel for me so I had to go with him in the end.

Archer for me.

He changed history.

I voted for Picard, because as mentioned earlier I grew up watching him. Kirk comes in as a close second and I don't even consider Voyager, Enterprise DS9 to be Star Trek Why don't I consider them Trek? They left behind the older versions of Star Trek and the humanistic influence of Roddenberry.

I have actually only ever seen about 40 star trek episodes..lol.. most of which were enterprise and voyager (id probably hand enterprise 10, voyager 20, and then the last 10 were probably 8:2 TNG and kirk respectively.) half of them bored me to death, they just never had the appeal that star wars and star gate had for me. I've most if, and in fact ive seen all of the star trek movies though, my favourite was the one where Kirk and his crew go back in time in a romulan war bird I think it was! Or a Klingon something..im not sure, anyway they go back and grab some wales. Then first contact has to be a next favourite.

So purely on the basis of reputation, and the fact i preferred his movie to the others Im going to go with Kirk (I did like Generations a lot to, Kirk and Picard!). Although the space battle in Nemesis was cool, and I will miss data.

Pretty sure it was klingon...
Best Kirk movie was Wrath of Kahn though.

Sorry, my grammer was off it should look like this "Voyager, Enterprise, and DS9." Enterprise is the worst Trek ever produced, it is nothing short of trek porn.

Sure history was changed, and the plot stopped making sense. But I still enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah, I was not so fond of the big historical changes Enterprise made. the early seasons were the best (shuttlepod 1, anyone?)

and what was so bad about voyager? I thought it had some really good parts to it.

i voted picard becuase he is brilliant, bald and well i dunno picard was just great and becuase patrick stewart is a yorkshire man like me
