Ok-I know supers are more powerful... But here's my question:

if you are just looking to do a couple quick ascensions-wouldn't you be better off to just train regulars? You then untrain them before you ascend-so you don't lose any UU. You'd have to train more than if you were training supers, but isn't it worth it?

Thoughts/Comments?

well yes but remember there are other requirements to ascend so probably have a few supers for the required amount then make the rest regulars

unless it doesn't really matter because it doesn't take much to get into g&r range these days

You need to have trained units when you ascend. My last ascension i needed 700k trained units, thats about how many supers i had so i didn't lose much at all.

Going for ascension number 6 and it has been a pain with only a 20k UP for the past 6 months I shape my account for ascensions.

you can use planets so the cost doesn't go up but your army size does
