Why not? The server has already been killed. Lets start by saying an eulogy.

"The ascended server led a full life. When ascension came out people neglected it's importance. This great place where skill and determination pitted player against player had many great pluses.On September 27th 2007 the fine server was diagnosed to have terminal cancer. The expectancy for the server to survive was low. We all knew ascension to be a strong server. Only the strong and smart where able to excel. However the cancer was too much for the server to overcome. No matter how much it's wise individuals tried to stop the spread of this disease, incompetent physicians did not follow their treatment. Eventually the cancer was too much for it."

well, if that were to happen some people might have an unfair advantage. I suggest we make everybody start out with 2b planets to even it out a bit :-D

/end sarcasm

hrmm, it would just make the Ascended server much, much worse.

I have a feeling that any attempt to make turns easier to obtain through dmu is going to exacerbate the sniper problem.

Until that problem is fixed I'm voting no for this one.

Determining a price that is accessable to those with 5 billion/turn in income and those with trillions is going to be problematic and will ultimately sink any attempt to establish a reasonable market

It wont - turns aren't the restricting factor, its planets.

Selling turns is a terrible idea though, ascended needs the skill of managing your turns... having larger players going off gung ho assassinating etc... Not nice.

Planets... well mabye if you put in a no buy after the 2 bil cap, or had planets 'die' when they were bought above that. (a certain amount anyway)

turns ARE the restricting factor. The only thing preventing someone from massing the entire server is the limit of turns. Ascended Market is a horrible horrible idea.

I was reffering to what people refer to as the sniper 'problem'.

Turns Are the restricting factor for destroying things, hitting for dmu sniper like though - they're not.

ah yeah, but if the ascended market would be anything like the main market, you wouldnt be able to buy nearly enough planets anyway.

At any rate i think transferring/buying of planets is retarded in the first place. I mean, how exactly would you "transfer" a planet?

AT = Action turn

How do you buy or transfer an action turn? The buying and selling of AT is far more retarded lol.
