The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
Basically a check box where I choose which I wish to spend. Thus enabling to tactically use them as you see fit

Re: The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
What are generic ATs good for besides selling? Why would you want to use ATs that you can sell before using ATs that you cannot sell?

Re: The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
To store ATs for times of need. You cannot store generic, but you can store personals.
While you use your generic ones for daily life you could decide to save personals for war times.
And since personals get used first, this is not possible unless you are not using ATs at all

Was just speaking to someone about this last night. Agree, very much.

Basically gives unlimited ATs as you buy generics as fast as you can and when you are not able you dip into personals until you get some generics.

Re: The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
Sounds like an excellent reason to keep it as it is. Someone with deep pockets could provide themselves with an infinite supply of ATs and farm everything, everytime.Loki™ wrote:Basically gives unlimited ATs as you buy generics as fast as you can and when you are not able you dip into personals until you get some generics.Juliette wrote:What are generic ATs good for besides selling? Imagine what would happen if someone were to write a script and farm with this; with an infinite supply of ATs no one else would stand a chance.
(I do see the appeal of the idea itself.)

Re: The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
No actually it does not give you the unlimited ATs. Well not any more than now anyway
Let me explain with examples:
_________________________________
example A
I dont have any personals and i use my generic ATs
- i can use as many as i want! But the restriction is
1. = the amount of NAQ I have
2. = the market and the amount of ATs for sale
example B
I have personals and generic.
I burn through personals and then can do the above at the same extent as in the above example A
example C ( THE NEW WAY it would be if this would be implemented)
1 = I could still do the above, if I just needed the turns asap
2 = I could use my generic turns ONLY and each week save a LIMITED (you are limited to 15k of ATs per week max with MTs) amount of ATs which would simply mean I get to use them up when I want to, call it rainy days or special situations if you wish
The amount of ATs you could save is only 60k per month and me and Loki both know 60k of ATs is nothing much really
So no more unlimited amount of ATs than we currently have, but adding a bit of tactical concept to the game and a bit more choices

Re: The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
I feel really stupid, but I have no idea how any of that improves the game or adds a feature that makes any logical sense whatsoever.
Never mind. If you can explain it to Jason, go ahead.

you are not taking into account, turns brought on the Black Market with cash,
as Juliette, pointed out if this was implemented $$$ buyers would have an infinate supply at their disposal.
(unless caps were placed on both)... as it is (or was when last I played) you can stockpile 100ks of turns..

Re: The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
I can honestly say I would have never ran out of ATs if I had been able to use generics first even though I was using 20k a day at the height of my activity.
@femme Turns: 478,593 and they are not personals.

I have the same amount (well, 20k less) and they *are* personals. Recently saw that I used on average 5k per week for 2012. *has infinite turns* Then again, I have been inactive for a few months..

Re: The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
Admin just *very generously* gave us 15k personal turns. As a result, I now have 5k generics, even though i've used up half of the extra turns. Therefore my generic turn generation is at 0, due to me having too many personal turns and attacks using those first. It is annoying to be "wasting" AT generation.

This is the same as it is now...
With $$$ you can buy an infinite number of ATs. If you remember Kikaz was not long ago selling hundreds of thousands of ATs.
Also inactive people (people who dont use ATs at all, were able to save them, a member of HVE as Loki knows was selling his account not long ago with over 600k of ATs on it)
Bottom point, this would not increase your ability to get turns any more than it is now, only like I said add a tactical view.
Smart people and alliances would be able to save some for rainy days for instance....

Re: The ability to switch between personal and generic ATs
Talamasca has 2.5M ATs. I do not see this system changing that for better or worse..
