MS Bug? Overstock above capacity?

Just noticed this following a first ascension to Prior and having bought MS techs upto level 7 - I seem to have more weapons equipped than capacity would normally allow.

Energy Volley Offense Weapons 103,350
Maximum Volley Capacity 96,195
Energy Shields Generators 89,046
Maximum Shield Capacity 82,881

Not that I'm complaining of course, every little helps but it doesn't seem quite right.

Is left over from what you had before ascension, once they're destroyed you will on be able to re-buy up to what tech 7 gives you.

I assume you had higher MS tech before you ascended, and that you had armed your MS before you ascended

You would lose that extra capacity as soon as your MS got into a fight and got sufficiently damaged, until you purchased the rest of the MS tech.

I see. I thought that might be the case but couldn't remember what capacity it was prior to ascension. So if they are damaged below that actual capacity I won't be able to get back above that without upgrading the capacity or buying the last MS tech?

That seems to explain it. I'll play PPTWars for a while and see if I can keep them intact!
