covert turns

so i think we should be able to trade for covert turns, i mean were able to get AT and thats perfect for the massers of the game but what bout the sabbers and spies once we run out when have to wait and its really annoying when your sabbing some then you see You do not have any more capacity for covert operations so what do ye think?

Re: covert turns

Bad Idea. Imagine if someone pumped up someone in their alliance to >lvl 35 covert, and continued to give them covert cap. They'd win any war.

Swapping MTs for CC - perhaps, to be able to trade them... NO

not even aloud to send them to any1 once you traded they would be yours and maybe even make them x2 or x3 the price of normal AT

Re: covert turns

Actually CABAL, there is still a limit to the number of times you can spy or sab someone.

I would see this as no different than building someone up to be the masser in an alliance. The masser loses men by massing, the sabber loses them by sabbing BUT they can only sab someone 17 times (I think) before they become covert phased. There is still protection there for the individuals.

Even if Covert turns aren't tradeable but perhaps it is reduced to 1 covert turn to sab, that has the same effect.
Spoiler
Initial masser on Field Marshal's 120t defence and on Rodwolf's 177t defence.

The forces of Rodwolf fought back with all they could, and managed to inflict 178,947,245,996,720 damage on Tekki's forces!

Re: covert turns

One suggests to have an 'Alliance upgrade' purchased through that bank that universally increases Covert Capacity for that Alliance, thoughts?

Re: covert turns

i have sparked something :) but i do think this could be a good thing to add to the game it would make it more equal to the sabber every1 can mass as long as they have the AT and masser can hold 10AT sabber can only hold 100 it doesnt seem that fair wars are not just faught by massing stats and killing def+spies you cant go to war if you have no weapons

Re: covert turns

I'm for this idea. Simply for allowing another way to strike at someone. And also allowing you to more effectively sab an attackers weapons while their hitting you. Like a real war would be fought, both fighting at the same time, not one while the other sleeps, then vice verse

Re: covert turns

i like it. does not make much sense as it is ATM. Sabbing is an awesome form of attack and should be as accessible as massing.

i know when im getting massed i will sab my attacker in hopes to get them to stop, but u can only do so much with 20 odd sabs. while they continue away with their 10k ATs

But that's the thing! SGW wasn't supposed to be about espionage.

Re: covert turns

Good call there.

If you aren't going to allow for people to destroy strikes, then allow better use of the sabotage function. Otherwise, it is as useless as it is now, where by, if they enemy has any spy's, you need to mass them first. At which point, there's no weapons left to sabotage anyway..

Re: covert turns

if u r able to buy cov at's then an allaince will build a sabber so he/she can do it to lower enemy def's.
its not that hard to buy cov 35-37, but incase u ve only 100 at's then buying cov 37 isnt a good idea

Alliance bank covert raise - big no
Covert turn trade or more effective covert use - yes
