When it asks you the estimated number of days you'll be away, does that mean you'll go off of vacation mode after those days are up?
Or does someone, somehow have my account password?

it does not matter what you type in... you could most likely type in 99999 days, or just 1 day.... we believe it should work... but there is no use typing in 1 day, since minimum is 2 days...

It's just to give the admins an idea if some thing were to go wrong. Not sure what would but I'm almost positive thats what it's for.

I believe the number is the number of days your account will be locked.
IE type in 2, you can log in anytime after 2
you type in 999999, you can log in any time after 999999
so dont type in 999999
