Forum lingo?

Basicly Im new to the forums and have no idea how to use it properly.

Firstly what is meant by bump?
Secondly how do you close a topic which you have made?

And if there is anything else important which someone could so kindly share with me that would be great.

A bump is when you reply to a topic, for no reason other than to get it to the top of the page.

You usually cannot close your own topics, thats why we're here.

when you say to get it to the top of the page, do you mean to get it to the top of the new posts page?

a bump can move a topic from the bottom of the topics list to the top, since the bump is then the last post in that forum section...
