Re: Labels

I dont see the problem. Its just a user title. Just like on the forum, they dont get anything extra ingame like a UP boost. It wont effect the game play in anyway.

You should be greatful this is all they get because from what i heard there were far worse idea's that might have been used.

Let me know if you do, I shall join you. Might as well start working on making those who receive unfair attention get even more attention

And HellHammer, so you're saying its a bad idea, but there could be worse ones implemented, so we should roll with it? That is idiotic also.

The harm, Zeratul, is that being a moderator is supposed to be a volunteer job. Nobody is forcing you to be a moderator, and nobody is forcing you to give up your free time. It's ridiculous for the moderators to start expecting in-game privileges. All this will do is encourage people to try and become mods for the wrong reasons.

And yes, I too am sorely tempted to start hitting everybody with these tags that isn't a friend or an ally.

Since all the mods are choosen now, noone can try to become a mod. Mods are choosed for activity and contribution to a certain section or the whole forums, its not volunteering...

So if you get asked to be a mod because you earned the respect of the mod team, you can get a tag too.

Well, whoop-de-doo, but that doesn't alter the fact that moderators recieving in-game benefits sort of goes against the premise of volunteering selflessly and devoting your own free time for the right reasons. But there we go... just don't be surprised when some of the mods recieve an alltogether different sort of attention.

And my god.. I just heard about some of the other proposals. An extra market turn? 1k more ATs? If those were your ideas too, Baszy, then you're a god damn idiot.

Re: Labels

I thought people got told off and smacked on the wrist when Mods are massed coz of things they do on the forums.

It wasnt really the Mods choice in what they get as rewards. I didnt ask for my new title thing, The only thing I did do was say NO to extra things that were offered.

I think a name is a peice of a crap, its neither here or there. Its meaningless. I think it would have been alot worst if we were getting benifits ingame like more turns or what ever. But as it is just text we are getting what does it matter ?

Now that you insult me enough, and got insulted by the tags, its time for you to shut up! Thank you.

Well good for you, Bad Wolf, for taking a stand, but from what I hear most of the mods were all too happy to vote themselves perks.

And if you have no other way of responding to me than to tell me to shut up, Baszy, then why even bother making a post? I'm not 'insulted' by anything here, I just think it's stupid.

okay now, my name is Bazsy with "ZS"

About the tags.
I came up with the idea to give something to mods for their work, cause we mod hours a day while others play and get benefits for it, cause you put your time there. Now the reason: More and more mods leave or become unmotivated while we cant get new mods... So something had to be done.
The reason for that one is the how the community never say thank you and even attack the mods for their work and such. So being a mod wasnt a good feeling as I got it... Now its a bit more balanced I think. BTW: I think admin came up with the ideas, that you think were mine... Im not sure if I had any, or just picked up one of the proposed ones on the road.
Now if you dont have another idea to make mods motivated or help us getting new GOOD mods, please don't blame the current one.

Re: Labels

If any of you want to have a mass at me for being a mod then go ahead...

Personally, i dont think an ingame title makes all that much difference, infact it makes no difference, espescially if yours is going to be quite silly, im going to change mine to High Emptys Toy in the morning (thats an inside joke) .

Aside from the new tags which you can add, which dont actually benefit you at all, Im completely against the idea of actually benefitting ingame. It is in my belief that, the minute you start wanting rewards, is the minute youve lost your heart in the job, If your here to get rewarded then your not here for the right reasons If any other rewards come along for it that actually are of any benefit ingame i will personally be declineing them, in the interests of fairness. Im not saying that to insult anyone or annoy anyone, they are free to choose what they like, thats my stance on the matter, a silly lil tag is fine by me, anything that means you benefit ingame, in my opinion, is not needed, nor for my part of all its worth, not wanted.

hmm... how much time do you put every day, into making this forum a better place to be? then think about how much time mods spend here on the forum... also, most of the ideas thought about, were shot down, and the title part, was in fact suggested by Forum himself...

I would rather have mods get a 1% income bonus like we do for turning the adds on instead of a title to seperate them from the rest of the community

Now ya'll just have me nice and confused.

And the whole titles thing matters little. From the rankings and attack pages it just looks like an extension to the alliance tag, as can be seen here:

buck
The Master [ Ω Allegiance ]
Messiah of the TOLAH

It actually looks a lot like the officer titles to be honest...
High Empty
Prodigy [ Ω Allegiance ]
Living God of the ORI

Doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me.

This is far better than any ingame advantage.
