now in all seriousness I'm glad this has come out into the public domain... anything that gives and IN GAME ADVANTAGE is not a thank you for mods its an ADVANTAGE. Now giving them custom names e.g. "Minion Lord TheRook" (being able to be) "Guess Who Rocks Your Socks TheRook" thats fine as its just a text change...

How about everyone who has SS gest 4MT/week and those without get 3 MT a week... because after all we are supporters
and without us posting on the forums the mods wouldn't have anything to do...

if you wanna be a mod...accept the job..do it like it should be done...if you want to be paid for being a mod....decline it. why in the world should mod's get any benefits? noone ordered you to be a mod. i would be happy and honored if i could be a mod...it tells something about that player....it means u were chosen for a reason...and if you can't do it without beind paid...i pitty you.

To put my last point here. Yes I suggested the idea of ingame benefits for mods, and you can read why was my first idea in the log. The title was Jasons idea. Later we discussed some other versions. Idea was mods get ingame disadvantages with every min they mod.
Later when only one mod said its not cool to have ingame benefits I said, okay, drop that one without even arguing. Seeing as it would hurt at least one ppl I never wanted it after that.
My idea was to balance out the ingame disadvantages mods get every time, but all remained of it was the tags. All my intentions were good. And only to keep mods motivated.

I never expected such quantity of hate towards the mods tho. And to all the previous mods who tried to hammer us: you quit or got fired, doesnt matter now, point is the system was loosing mods and getting no new ones... Thats why I started thinking what could be done to raise the numbers. If any of you had better ideas, you could have drop it in before you quit...

Well my 2 cents.

I am a mod and I didnt even know about this until I saw the thread on Bucks name. I personaly do think mods deserve alittle something for all the crap the general public seems to throw at us (Some deserved, some not). Either way we give up our time with our R/L's and game time to try to do something for the community so I do feel we deserve some recognition ingame for it.

The titles were nice, I like them even tho I haven't changed mine. As for the MT I do feel that was too much. No ingame advantage should be offered as that leads to mods who do it for the advantage, not for the good of the community.

@ Antius, I myself did not sign up for being a mod, I did not ask to be a mod, I was asked because of the sheer lack of unbiased able body applicants. I was honored to be asked to be a mod, even tho I am one of the lowest ranked and have practicly no power (All I can do is delete closed market threads), I am still honored to be a member of a group who tries to give back to the community.

Now as for everyone else who seems to be doing what you pursicute me for doing by just continually posting the same thing over and over and over. Please Any of you highlight or quote me where I stated I was "FORCED" to mod. Please soon as you get a chance.

My actual point is if the present mods are so horrible then why don't you volenteer to do some modding? I personally think its a good idea to rotate the mods to keep them from burning out but thats just me.

And as I did say and I'll say again, I don't mind the name changes which i have chose not to do, but feel any ingame advantage is not warrented.

So lets see. A mod agrees with you and you still burn him. Good way to handle things.

What I said in that conversation isn't exactly secret.. there are copies of both the entire discussion thread in the mod forums and the IRC chat with admin being circulated. The MT stuff is quickly becoming common knowledge.

So basicilly FreeSpirit is the one who falsified the game update?


Didn't FS Ban ETL because one of the things ETL did was mention a fourth MT?

And then FS denied the fourth MT, but now he admits it? I want a ban on FS for falsifying updates!
