It's been coming and it already happened to UP planets. I got thinking and ended with; Why stop there. We should nerf income planets too.
Since all planet bonuses stop at half of the whatever, income should be the same.
Why? Well .. it forces people to have at least some miners instead of ZERO miners and dumping income into an income planet in an endless circle of growing profits.
People can start new accounts now and with income planets get by with zero miners (income planet income also IS NOT affected by nox/realm alert level) be on nox/critical 24/7 and enjoy the unhindered income from planets.
This means they can get accounts with just attackers or defenders and not have useless peons called lifers. (Not totally useless but people have stated they are annoying because they can't do anything else.)

Re: Income planets
hmm... there is no risk in having 10 mill miners/lifers... except occasional farmings...
but there is great risk in having income planets granting same income...
10 mill miners cannot be lost, but income planets granting equal income can be taken by a small group of people in only a few minutes...
thus, those basing all their income off of planets, are taking a great risk...
also, income planets are not overpowered the way UP planets were...
we say, let it stay as it is...

Same thing was true about raw UP before, wasn't it? There was no risk in having, say, 100k natural UP.
Gone, left, no longer here.

raw UP, it was the same with, and still is...
there was risk in UP planets... income planets with some defense, are pretty much safe...

Re: Income planets
Income planets are still not worth it, the amount of naq ud have to put into it, to make a massive return just isnt worth it, i personally think income planets need a x10 update put into them, to make them worth something to the person getting them.
Deep within Noob Cave, you find a strange pool filled with a glowing blue liquid. You think back to what your mother told you about unfamiliar liquids found in caves.
You're pretty sure she said "Drink it! What's the worst that can happen?"

you obviously don't know what some of the large players have on their planets then as that would destroy the game

Re: Income planets
if you added a 10x multipliers to income planets their would be people with 4t or higher incomes a day.

Re: Income planets
I can see how you would think income planets aren't overpowered yet. The same could have been said with UP planets until some people pumped those planets to force the update.
It might be a big risk to have the bulk of the income come from planet(s) but I would imagine it wouldn't be much of a problem for people that are well connected. I agree that no 'normal' person would do it but say if I was in an alliance that had some MAD policy... it would be a whole different matter.

Re: Income planets
most of those in such alliances do not use income planets... the ones that use income planets the most, are the weak/small players... and the weak/small, do not need to be weakened in such a way...

if you put the same amount of naq into a income planet and bought UU with that naq you would be getting 1.5 to 2 times the amount of UU that you would be getting form a UP planet
that if no one hits you

Re: Income planets
also income planets dont add bank space.
so someone with 0 miners has 0 back space, dont know for sure.
then it may be nice to have okay income but no point to it if you cant save up, you would just get farmed

Re: Income planets
yes, the no help to bank size and possibility of theft are the main things that weaken the income planets...

i like the idea...
First she was like...
I talk in this color when corporations pay their fair share of taxes and don't evade US taxes by stashing profits overseas.
I talk in this color when the wealthiest top 1/10th of 1% don't own 50% of the nation's wealth.
I talk in this color when the wealthy, influential elites of this country don't have unbalanced influence over the economy, media, and government - allowing to regularly further their own interests.
I talk in this color when the US joins every other industrialized nation on Earth and guarantees healthcare for all people.
I talk in this color when 98% of all new income doesn't go into the hands of the wealthiest top 1%.
