Unascended Power Boost.

I know this has been addressed many times before, but I was hoping to ask of something a little different.

Im hoping that we could create a "new" path for players in the game. Those who are ascended, and those who are unascended.

Now Im not a genious at making tactics but is it possible that someone could come up with a way to get Unascended players an advancement with this game using G&R or some other form of payment? Such as using a certain amount of G&R to raise a stat level for an unascended player. like 100 to raise a stat 1% and slowly raise it for each advancement? This could work for Atk, Defense, Covert/Anti, and possibly Mothership. However they could not boost their UP or Naq amount with it.....We could consider that an Ascended Bonus.

I agree that there should be some sort of alternative to ascension for those of us who don't want to play the higher realm but still want to have some kind of chance of catching up to the bigger guys. That being said I am a LG so this would not effect me.

I think your means of making them stronger could use a little work but the basic idea is good.

Well since going the ascended route you get a 5% increase for the 1st 1000 G&R points up to Living God?

If you decide to do have the unascended route, you could just have it
1000 G&R points for each 1% and allow the unascended a max of 5% more than going the ascended route. This, of course, would take a lot more time
since they'll only be gaining 1% for each 1k G&R.

might be better to have it sort of based off of the ascension system, so that account is partially reset for each % thing... maybe have it cost 50% of everything you have, but minumum something like 110% of the previous thingy... would hinder abuse...

but to be honest, we dont see such thing coming up anytime soon...

I understand that it's nothing that will come up anytime soon. I'm just throwing ideas out there to pass time at work until I leave.

When you ascend, you pretty much become another being and as a new being, you start off new. Therefore I can see losing your stats, you're also getting a larger bonus per ascension.

With an unascended power boost, it would be more like a tech upgrade based on G&R points. I can see losing 10% of your total army on a research explosion or something like that, but your bonus is much less than ascension. So I can't see justifying losing 50% of your stats to go the longer and more difficult route to gain more power.

Im glad you all like it. I wouldnt mind seeing this put into effect and despite the fact that nothing may happen "soon" I just hope that a mod or two will keep this in the back of they're heads just in case they want to "expand" the play of the game.

Basically any system like this should not give any bonus greater than an ascended account of the same level on Vacation at best.

Really should only give a bonus equal to the deasceded bonus of an account that ascended that many times.

Ascending does not guarantee a bonus so this should not guarantee a bonus greater than those of a deascended account.

I got my own thoughts now.

I agree with the upgrades at a cost of 1k GR.

But disagree on the 1% bonus.

First Upgrade is the SS upgrade, already in place.

Second Upgrade: Should Upgrade your race, from Tauri to Tollan.
--Why? Unless the unascended get an insane bonus, The ascended will always have the advantage with the stronger weapons.

3rd Upgrade is an all stat Bonus of 2.5%, this bonus can be bought incrementally up to 15% total.

Why only 15% max, its half of the total for a LG+1 on vac mode, which is essentially what their doing. Plus, that 15% is "safe", they can't lose it. Also, they don't get the Ascended blessing because they have no Ascended being to 'bless' them.

Ascention, they can ascend, but they restart with 5% bonus of the Prior, it doesn't get added to thier 15% bonus if they buy it to that point.

Side note, hopefully with bonus so similiar to that of a LG on vac mode, Players will simply do this instead, effectively stopping new inactive ascended players.

I don't see why unascended players should get bonuses. They didn't to anything to earn. If you want bonuses ascend, if you don't wanna ascend, tough luck. It was the same for everyone else.

I doubt you're going to get buy-in for this suggestion but to keep the thought going, the puchase upgrade "currency" for this should be 10,000 G&R points.

well, the idea with 2.5% is that it would take 6 upgrades......
1k G&R each would take lets see

assuming most get
1 per turn
48 per day
21 days roughly for 1k G&R

hmm...that is pretty fast actually...at same time, 10k would take roughly 210 days....but some may try to get 5 per turn....which would be 42 days, that should be good.

I'll agree that 2.5% upgrades should cost 10k G&R, considering they don't lose anything when the purchase the upgrade, I think that is reasonable they should have to wait longer.
