alot of respect has been lost, and basically people just take it too personal at times. also power has corrupted alot of players and made them too big headed and this is kind of obvious when they just go and mass someone who they consider a noob because their army size is less than half of theirs and because officers got farmed or watever.

i been playing for 18 months and i only have 11 mill army. would i be considered a "noob". it is out of control at times. and as for the forum its just a load of insults and bragings and just not worth posting.

i agree, im one of those guys that doesnt have a super army or anything, just a causual player that plays for fun when he has time. not one of the newer players that all they do is play the game and then call every1 noobs cause they are bigger since they have no lives, lol. the one thing i hate is when new players either buy a bunch of UU and naq, or buy an amazing account, then act like they own the game and everything. ppl have lost respect for each other, and when wars start, ppl get way to upsessed over a GAME! thats what it is, and ppl act like its RL and i think thts where the disrespect comes from, ppl are overly obssesed with it.

Agreed... I have several pms in my inbox atm that demostrate just this, people can't take this as a game, of course its worth too much money to take it as such... Overall I think the community has disintegrated since the formation of the GA...

Almost everyone who I fought with when I started the game I'm friends with, those who I war with now (excluding perhaps a couple of exceptions ) will probably not be, instead there will be grudges etc.

I also do not think the extreme arrogance of certain high 'ranking?' members of the community helps.

Oh, and Buck = Awesome mod + example of how the game should be played (Seriously... thats not meant to be a spam comment)

well heres my take
i started an account about a year and a half ago
it was a fun game peopel helped me
showed me how to play
joined an alliance (CF)
met some nice people
it seems there are a lot of newer people
and alot of the older 1s left
i left for a little while
and i noticed things have changed alot dourning the past 5 months i was gone

the forum is rubbish
way to much QQing(crying)
not to many have really anything to say
they just post for posting sake
i think also alot of people take this game WAY to serious
its a game so have fun
i also think power goes to alot of peoples head
not every1 mind

Ahh the old days were good. Well no use in pouting or anything make the best of the situation and laugh at the amount of immaturity.

I see it as 2 things. The creation of the GA, this isnt a shot at them, sure it was a good idea and move for them at the time. But it inevitably would cause the huge gap and inbalance among players and alliances, which lead to tension and problems on the forum, which contributed to the servers uprising against CoP, causeing the current stagnent state of the server among the 1st page and the current cold war of the top alliances. And as such people take what they cant ingame, to the forums, find excuses to hit people not in the top alliance and try to push them into a corner to give them an excuse, if they cant find one as is.

That, and Psi leaving, he kept this forum in line.

The newer players that come here are getting alot more arrogant. I beleive that's partly due to the growing power they hold in-game.

It's now alot more easier to become powerful and having these extremely powerful alliances backing you up also adds a sense of arrogance.

This game has simply changed - the big guys are arrogant and mass everyone who dare to send them a PM (not always that bad but still it it's pretty bad)

Some Alliances started some time ago, massing and massing if anyone attacked them once for naq, that ment the whole alliance would destroy the naq attacker, his alliance, friends and those who traded with him.

So when new players join, they see this - they look up to these big players - then they perhaps grow strong, buy big accounts or have strong alliances backing them up. Of course they try to be exactly the same, or try to be even more arrogant to be noticed by the old and strong players. Maybe they go too far and cross the line... which the old and respected players don't.

When I joined this game, Flavar 'raised' me but I couldn't help but look up to Omega. When I was not far from 100 mil army size I started being a bit arrogant too.

P.S. Not saying anything bad about Omega, infact quite the opposite.

It's sometimes sad to watch people who change as they grow in armysize. Many of once decent players, who grew up are now feeling all powerful and that they can do everything they want. Well, technically they can... but how these big players treat "noobs" will most likely reflect on attitude which will these "noobs" have once they grow up.

Sadly, these big players rarely give a toss. Mainly due to fact they lost their initial enthusiasm they had for this game. For them it's even way how to vent their frustration from game.

For those who are "older" players and yet still have this enthusiasm - the way you treat newbs is also the way this game will go. It's up to older players, really. If we are jerks towards them, they will most likely become the very same. And the result? The community will go down even further. Yet if we are civil in our behaviour, newbies will look up to this style and even while one side is warring with another, both sides will be able to have fun without nasty personal insults. And that's only one possibility of many what better treatment of newbs may bring to the community.

This is what i have SEEN which has eroded my trust over the months i have played

got massed held grudges, mass some people they held grudges, the term noob is now offensive to everyone since when ppl use it they just dont mean you are a new players means you are a complete idiot in this game

ppl who get massed brush off massing like they dont hurt you, but deep down it harbors terrible grudges and hatred

when ppl help you on the forums they also throw in insults...i dunno how you explain it but almost like a insults that helps you.

and since we have our own alliances forums this place can be the place to dump all the unwanted spam into, almost like a dump site...i see that there are some things you will never say on your allaince forums but on SGWs forums

and we have a bunch of elitist type of players running both ingame and offgame crap which propels them to certain positions that they did not earn except befriend certain players/people...not saying they all did but some...

some ppl take privates matters out to the public for everyone to see, well honestly anything on the internet is will public u can find about anything you want,

The stupid awards are the like the gay Emmies but for SGWs players, basically what i saw is they made categories that were lopsided to a certain individual which guaranteed instant winning.

The Game suggestion area...i admit i done this too certain idiots makes ideas that do not benefit everyone but a few selected individuals or just them selves AKA ascension....more stupid ideas to stop them being bashed

admin chats are nothing BUT ascension seriously nobody can get any new ideas out to him, usually the loudest ma f er gets to speak and the dumb mods usually pick the popular/loudest ppl to speak first and mutes everyone.

people sayings its a war game and ya it is, seriously if you cant handle a abusive post, or a threat, or some other things that brings you to the edge of crying then this game is certainly not for you and a game like this is filled with rutherless heartless cruel ppl, just like RL

another thing is alot of things happen off forums and whatever happens off forums ie chat,PMs, can have negative effects on the forums which cant be helped since its a "community" some say

the majority of sgw are new players who have purchased old players accoumts then get massed and get mad cause they spent cash on this game ...

So the moral of the story to all new players is don't buy any accts off anyone cause it's true you will get massed
