Ascended race bonuses

I don't know if there has been posts about this, but couldn't there be different bonuses for different ascended races, such as system lord, ancient, tollan, and nanotimaster. As far as I know the only difference between these races is the names of weapons and soldiers. When in regular form they still have some differences. Wouldn't this make gameplay more diverse, and interesting. Once again I do not know if there has been a post related to this, so I apologize if there was.
