I wont deny that there have been many wrong doings in the past.

But not all where involved and its sadly clear what the aim is of the new movements.


Is it really necessary to destroy a forum that was a habour for many of us for two years.

Think of the good times you had with it.




Every time i log on now i only regret it afterwards.


No matter what individuals on all sides ( bad enough there are so extrem sides) did wrong its no reason to take everything down with it.

so your entire purpose is to cause problems for everyone. You see tok'ra we here who are part of the at least half-human types can actually go into something called "Rational Discussion" . For those of you who have no idea what that is its when people don't do self serving stunts to promote their popularity while aiding in destroying a community that, as flavar said was a haven.

Maybe this is a cause of the game getting too big but to be perfectly honest i doubt that. it's people respecting the wrong people for the wrong reasons and acting like them thinking it will make them powerful. i have to agree with flavar, it's painful to go to the general section forums, everyone just hates each other or just bands together to mock someone else who they feel are stupid.

And as a side note; thanks to all of your whining and complaining lemme just say this from all the spammers, you know the people who actually have to be in the spam temple to spam because otherwise their hated and reviled before the crowd goes over the popular player spamming some random B.S. like tok'ra is doing now. SCREW YOU. At the spam temple we were freaking happy with our mods, spacey and supersquish were up there as the greatest Misc mods of all time in my opinion.

Funny, the only boards where you won't go and become completely flamed is the spam temple who's cheerfulness however has gone down to taking away their favorite mods and people moving these threads here, thats a sad realization isn't it, SPAMMERS have more of an ability to stop whining and tearing a community apart over some poor poor mods breaking the rules. Get over yourselves.

I've been watching topics like this for months on end now. Sure, I have a small post count, doesn't mean I dont lurk on these forums. I normally refuse to post anywhere other than the market section because of people like you Tok'ra (both of you). You spend your time picking apart every action the mods make and whining about how the forums are going downhill. If you used that time trying to fix the problems with the forums and being a respectful, useful poster instead of spamming about this, the forums wouldnt be going downhill.

The mod team does their absolute best. They just cant handle all of the people who think its appropriate to flame and spam everything in sight. Give them a break and let them moderate, instead of taking up their time in defending themselves against accusations like these.

The mods arent the problem here. It's the forum users that cant control their immature urges that are the real problem. And if I recall correctly, the rule was against publicly disagreeing with a mod, which is fair in my opinion, there's no need to broadcast a personal disagreement over the forums for people to watch and comment on.

for example, i am one of the new mods now, when i saw all this probs starting and the forum going downhill, i applied for the job to see if i can help, i did not point fingers or blame anyone about the probs, i acted upon it,

blaming ppl and flaming them is easy, in every situation, not just here in the forum, but rl too, but trying to acctually help out to fix things, thats what we need, bringing back a sense of community to the forum thats the real issue ppl should be focusing here

Another reason for ignoring them is likely due to the fact what you have said is not relevant or would be helpful in any way so why act on it all all.

I actualy told pookie a number of these over MSN once. I was permabanned within a week.

Disagree with mod = ban rule is a bad idea, dont bring it back.

i agree, but only if the disagreement statement is well thought of, without any type of foul language, this is a forum, u can debate issues without calling anyone names

Ignoring an issue hoping it will go away (such as some mods and forum himself considerd using this section for according to the IRC logs...) is a bad idea. If there is an issue, adress it. If you mess up, apologise if nessacary, and admit it. Coverups = bad. Think from the prespecteve of someone with a lot of reporters LOOKING for them to screw up, if you always admit when you do and dont allow any true scandal (or pubicly deal with it in a way not open to a circus of speculation) than there will be little drama.

also agree, if it is an important issue about the forum or the game, it should be looked into it.

Mod numbers = Bad idea. If Tok`ra and mods agree, it MUST be scrwed up.

mod numbers were the admin's idea, so we must live with it, it really doesn t matter to me

Rules: Make them as streamlined as possible.

several catagories

1- What Forum himself says you MUST have as a rule. Non Kingdom games games, etc etc etc. His sandbox, etc etc.

2- NESSACARY stuff based on the younger agegroups that do play, as well as the fact that people that play have kids. No porn and cursing, etc etc.


3- Community rules. Stuff designed to make people stay within the realms of decency. Overdone insults and such.

everyone should do this not cause its a rule, but by their own common sense and sense of respect towards others, especially under age ppl that we have here in the forum/game

1- warnins. They will last a preset ammount of time. Prehaps have several levels of warning, with differnt lifespans ?

2-3 people spam a thread, give them the lowest level warning (which might last prehaps 12-24hours) cause lets face it, threds get spammed all the time.

This way, if they get two spam warnings, then accadently curse the next day they wont get a third strike ban. Essently, use common sense with warnings.

No digging thru someones post, warning them twice for one post, then finding another post they made 5mins previously and warning and banning them.

If theyve been warned recently, and you find a post were they did something wrong, as long as it is not severe and occured before the warning, just edit it and leave it at that. The warning they allready recived SHOULD suffice as a general warning for ANY recent transgressions.

2- Bans. There should be a section were ONLY banned users and mods can post. It is up to the banned user to behave in it or loose their right to appeal.
This section will be for appealing a ban, or a reason/length for a ban. A banned user may have one or two other fourm users get access to the section to defend him if he requests it.

3- Deleting accounts. Accounts of actual players of the game should NEVER be deleted.

lol, like i said earlier, im new, i havent really need to warn/ban/suspend anyone yet, so i really have no opinion on this, except that i will try and look at it situation has unique, and not judge anyone cause of personal issues, well, since i really dont have any personal issues with anyone, its just a game

What SHOULD be the mod creed.
Mods are not here to coddle you, we are here to ensure that certain standards are upheald.

Also, you are not here to coddle us. While you will do what we say mod wise, otherwise we are teh same as you and no more important.

We will match you, courtesy for courtesy, insult for insult.

We will do our utmost to have our mod actions remain fair and impartial.

If you feel we messed up. feel free to talk to us about it, if we screwd up we will admit it and correct the problem, just like you would do.

Afterall, in the end we ARE just like you.

exactly, that goes both sides, mods are humans too, so they are bound to make mistakes, i already made a few in this first days, lol, and i apologized to the ppl in those situations, and i can guarantee u those will not be the only ones i will make, cause its normal to error, and with mistakes we learn and grow, thats life

so pls if u have a problem with any mod, talk, not just flame him/her, dont go through the road of insults, nothing can be accomplished there, only through racional conversation can two ppl come to a common ground
